Why did I just sped $100 and my internet is still being redirected to multiple pages and not useable. I asume this is ransomware since it keeps popping up with phone number guaranteeing to fix it. I was assured at Best Buy that all would be taken care of. Guess your product is not as COMPLETE as you state. I want it fixed now...or my money back. I have alway used Symantec products, but Best Buy assured me this was the best product on the market. What a SCAM!
How to correct a False PositiveKnowledge Base
If a file was incorrectly detected as bad and quarantined by the Webroot SecureAnywhere product, there are multiple options available to the business admin in order to reverse the False Positive detection and restore the files that were quarantined. Option 1: Restore Point If you are running in an Active Directory environment and have recent restore points for the affected machines, it is recommend to create a script to roll these machines back to a time prior to the issue. Option 2: Access to Client (Agents MUST be in an unmanaged policy for this option) If you can access the affected client machines and launch the Webroot GUI then restore the files from quarantine on the clients. This should restore the machine to a state prior to the issue. I have an alert saying there are items that require my attention The message tels me Password Protection isTurned OFF and goes on to say Webroot needs my password. I select the Fix This Now button I enter my password on the pop-up screen. After a while the Verifying password... wheel stops turning and I get a new screen inviting me to activate Lost Device "Protection including the message "Activate Device Administration on the next screen" I select the Next button I then get a screen that sets out all the warings about what activating adminsitrator will allow ... What virus would have you change your C:\Program file to C:\Program1? A pop up warning message came up stating, "A file or folder on your computer called "C:\Program" which could cause certain applications not to function correctly. Renaming it to "C:\Program1" would solve this problem." What should I do?
Hi Everyone, Since earlier this week, the webroot extension has not been working. All it keeps saying is that This extension requires Webroot SecureAnywhere to be installed and running. I already do have Webroot secure anywhere installed and it is active. How can I fix it? I also noticed that Webroot hasn’t been scanning my computer. I need to know how to fix that too. Thank you in advance!
I cannot get into iheart radio and have been in communication with them. The latest thing they asked me is if my virus protection is blocking the web site? Where do I check? I already submitted a support ticket, and sent them my logs, but I did npt get anyresponse back from Web Root yet?

How do I resolve problems when installing?Knowledge Base
If you are having problems when installing the Webroot program, please check the following for: Windows PC or Mac: Are you typing the keycode in correctly? Many times the characters i/1, o/0, s/5, b/8 and others are confused when the user types the code in manually. When installing Webroot SecureAnywhere from a CD, make sure to note each letter or number as you type. If you're not sure about a character, try it both ways. When installing from an email, you can copy and paste the keycode directly into the installer. To copy and paste your keycode, highlight the full keycode with your mouse, right-click the selection, and select Copy from the context menu. When prompted for the keycode, place your cursor in the keycode entry box, right-click, and select Paste from the context menu. Do you have a previous version of Webroot installed? This could be blocking the installation of the new software. Click here for removal instructions. Are you using the correct download? You can request to
I have Webroot Secureanywhere-Complete. Whenever I try to sign in to the Web Toolbar on any browser (IE/Firefox/Chrome) I get a pop up red bar stating "Unknown email address" and gives me an option to try again. I can login to My Webroot account with no problems. Any ideas on how to remedy this? Thanks!
I have Webroot installed on two PCs and now want to add it to an old Mac running El Capitan OS. I have coverage for three devices so should not be a problem and I have read here and elsewhere that you can install on Macs and PCs with the same key code. After downloading the installer, I get to the second screen (after language choice) where I am to add my key code but the entry box will not accept any characters at all - believe me as I tried every key on the keyboard. The display flashed in response to each keystroke but nothing is entered into the box. Thoughts?
After a total 3 visits to best buy, this virus still hasn't been removed... It looks like they used atleast 4 different programs to remove it, but it still remains on my laptop. Heres what is says on the scan, copied any pasted: c:$mbr.1 Win32.Autolock.1 After it "removes" the virus and restarts the virus is still there after another scan... The malware also shows up on Windows task manager crss.exe winlogon.exe atieclxx.exe The processes don't have a user name and no description When I try to end them it says Access Denied even though I'm on the Administrative profile, the only profile on my laptop. Webroot finds the threat, but doesn't remove it, help
