Hello, I have been using the Webroot for a quite a time and while gong through the notes and news of the product. I came through one of the Webroot's feature “Pseudo Execution” and can’t understand the concept clearly. Pseudo execution is the feature of the Webroot executed when the file/code entered in the system is unknown to the Webroot database Will be the unknown file executed partially in the system or any sandbox? How the journaling will be done and how the logs are stored? If the file/code turned out to be good one the product will whitelist and allows for full execution. If the file turned out to be a Malware/Ransomware or which leads to harm the system, then will it be quarantined or blocked? If blocked will that be notified to the user? Can the user change from Block to Allow? What happens to the file after it kept in quarantine, is it still able to access the files in the system or restricted? What happens to the files that are effected by the malicious file/code before s
Hello, I have been facing the subject issue continuously. To see if this issue can be resolved, I have tried the following but to no avail:1. Installing and reinstalling from the WSA homepage2. Downloading and installing from the My Account3. Downloading and installing from the online console management websiteThe product I use is Webroot Internet Security Complete.Does anyone know a permanent fix to this issue?
I found out that these apps may contain issues. But a friend of mine tried this. Is it like going on an exciting adventure to download Stick War Legacy from a website instead of the Play Store, or could it be risky and cause problems for your device's security? How can you make sure to install the game safely and avoid any potential issues on the internet? Any experiences? please share
Hi, This is to bring to the benign notice of the forum members that Webroot console is not accepting the security code generated by Lastpass Authenticator which I reinstalled. Whenever I try to reset 2FA , I cannot do it shows the error code 405.Though I input the correct answers for security questions it is not accepting and shows the error code 405. As I cannot login Webroot I cannot read customer support messages. As I am from India calling Webroot customer care costs me much.I phoned Webroot customer support number +1 866-612-4227 the call disconnected in the middle. One of the Webroot customer care executives cannot resolve my problem. I am posting this in the forum as a last resort. Anyone could you guide me please ?Thankking you,Dr.Siva
Installed Webroot Secure Anywhere on my MacBook Pro M1 running Ventura, and the initial scan has run for hours and never completes. It appears that it is scanning every file in my OneDrive, most of which are cloud-based.This makes Webroot useless for me, and I’m going to have to remove it and go with another alternative.Truly sad, as Webroot used to be a decent product.
It's sad that PC Magazine no longer rates Webroot as an Editor’s Choice due to poor ransomware protection.I still use Webroot and my siblings use it on my recommendation. But has its buyout by OpenText lead to a diminished performance?I am fully aware that Webroot uses a method that most AV certification companies can’t measure but it seems to be going downhill.
Hello, I purchased Webroot some time ago after reading this review I think it's great and I like the services very much. But I just noticed that you as well offer VPN services. Currently I'm using Surfshark that has CleanWeb feature that works like a malware/tracker/phishing protection and an adBlock as well. Does Webroot WiFi Security VPN provide similar features? If you have adBlock and tracker/malware protection implemented I would consider switching since I like your antivirus very much. And what protocol does it use on Android devices? Thank you.

Just purchased a new 5 user license, enter OK on webroot console and correctly shows 365 days left. However the backup and sync buttons are no longer on the console. If I log into my Carbonite+Webroot online console, under backup it states I have no subscription. The webroot websites clearly state the license has 25Gb of stoarage included. Any ideas how I get it to work?
My Webroot says I have 5 machines protected, but those are all old machines we no longer have.I have this PC, and I want to add a new laptop for a total of (2) machines protected (unless our two Amazon Kindle e-readers are protected, but I did not try to add Webroot to those when I bought them).
Hello,I would like to have assistance regarding the webroot Universal Reporter tool.My focus is to automate webroot emails with all the information automated but with my design. At the moment, I am in a testing phase where the email is configured, but it doesn't send anything automatically. When I click on "run reporting" in the "Run Reports" tab, it only gives me the PDF file and not via email.Could someone help me configure the automation of email sending?Best regards,António Correia
I have tried multiple system restore points, and I’m getting the following error everytime. Yes, I disabled Webroot (realtime shield, Web shield, Firewall). I ran sfc /scannow, I ran check disk. No issues found. So then, I tried booting in safe mode, and trying a system restore again, and I got this…. more specific error. What am I to do? Uninstall Webroot and never use it again? I need the ability to restore my system (LIKE NOW!) and even in safe mode Webroot is hindering me? Or is it something I’m overlooking?
Over the past month I have been getting a warning from the Samsung S10e system (Android 12) that Webroot is consuming too much CPU and to disable it. I’ve also noticed that the phone get very hot even when not charging. It has 59.5 of 128 GB of Storage available. Also has 2.7 of 6GB of memory available. Should I just remove Webroot?
so a few days ago my webroot was just fine until it tagged thisC:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\Launcher\Portal\SelfUpdateStaging\Install\Portal\Extras\Overlay\EOSOverlayRenderer-Win32-Shipping.exetwice as a virus then it started using up my memory at an exponential rate till it used up all my memory at 10,000 mb at its peak then quieted down to about 50% of my memory at 3,900 mb and has sat at that for 2-3 days now limiting what i can play and causing lag now and then
Hi,Has anyone seen something like this? Looks like a bug with the latest version on MacOS to me.My Webroot reported what appears to be an old threat this morning (Dwell time1870 days+) on my Macbook for a file that no longer exists. I tried to open Webroot Secure Anywhere on my Mac (agent v184.108.40.206) , but it was not responding, though Activity Monitor showed it was running. One of my clients has a similar issue, a very old threat (Dwell time 1078 Days+) endpoint (agent v220.127.116.11) has been offline/unavailable from early this morning.I have uninstalled Webroot Secure Anywhere, restarted and reinstalled from a newly download copy. Now I get this segmentation fault from the Webroot process on my Macbook. -------------------------------------Translated Report (Full Report Below)-------------------------------------Process: Webroot SecureAnywhere Path: /Users/USER/Downloads/Webroot SecureAnywhere.app/Contents/MacOS/Webroot SecureAnywhereIdentifier: com.webroot.Webroot-SecureAnywhereVe
