Windows 8.1 upgrade
This morning, when I attempted to upgrade my Windows 8.0 x64 system from the Microsoft Store to Windows 8.1, the file downloaded just fine, but when it attempted to install the upgrade, I kept getting error code 0x80070057. I tried googling this, but had no luck. I then disabled Webroot Secure Anyware and the upgrade was able to complete with no problem. I don't know if anyone else has had the same problem, but I thought that I would share my experience. Steve
External KeyPad Jumps into NumLock Mode since...
I am not saying it was because of upgrading to Webroot SecureAnywhere Essentials but I never noticed it prior. I read about the wireless keyboard issue but not wired. Just figured I would throw this out as a possibility? OK - I have tried this with two different external Microsoft Keyboards. 1. I will be using my keyboard and bouncing between keys and keypad. I normally just use the DEL key on the KeyPad for the most part. All of a sudden, I will hit the DEL key and a period comes up as if it changed into NumLock mode. As a matter of fact, all the KeyPad keys work as they should as if I had it in NumLock Mode without the NumLock indicator being lit on keyboard. I tried hitting the NumLock key to get it back to normal but nothing changes - it is as though it is stuck in NumLock mode. I might add - when I do hit NumLock - the indicator will come on and when I hit it again - the NumLock indicator light goes out but it seems to still be in NumLock Mode. 2. I thought it was a tired keybo
Webroot blocking Firefox 97.0 64-bit
Today Firefox updated to 97.0 on my windows 10 machine. When I restarted my computer, nothing works in firefox anymore. I can load it once, but I can’t browse to any webpage or even pull up the settings or about Firefox menu. When I close it I cannot open Firefox again.I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox. I eventually tried installing the 32-bit version and it worked. I reinstalled the 64-bit version and found that if I close out of Webroot completely it would work normally. It only works if I shut down webroot completely. If I turn off individual shields (or all the shields) it won’t work, but exiting webroot causes firefox to instantly start working again.Webroot gives no indication that it is blocking anything. Any ideas as to why this is happening and how I can fix it?
What reasons influenced you the most to make you choose Webroot?
What are the reasons that influenced you the most to make you choose Webroot considering how many Cyber Security Products there are to choose from these days? Also do you like using WSA by itself, or do you like using it with other Security Products? If you are using WSA with other Security Products then which products do you prefer to use with WSA to make up your Layered Security Setup? Also, how long have you been using Prevx / WSA?

Someone please do something about the False Positives and Web Reputation
Since I have switched to Webroot SecureAnywhere and am enjoying the best performance on my laptop. It is getting really tiring to get false positives every day, submit a request, and wait till the files are whitelisted. The support team are fast in responding but the amount of FPs is just too much to bear. I thought that Panda Cloud Antivirus was the king of False positives but Webroot SecureAnywhere blows it out of the water! I had submitted SVP in the past and now it's back as a non-safe website according to the Web Reputation add-on in Firefox Now I just tried accessing https://www.privateinternetaccess.com which is a very well known and good VPN that I've been using for long and got another message. I did submit a request to unblock it but is there a possibility of Webroot's team to fix this horrible False positives issue? I've read many complaints on other forums
Annoying notification showing several times a day
The following pop-up appears on Windows 10 several times a day: How do I make it stop? If I can't stop these annopying pop-ups without installing your stupid browser extensions then I will have to uninstall the software completely. This is unacceptable.

Missing Identity Shield Padlock
Seen several posts about this and now I have the same issue. The tray icon never has a padlock on it regardless of http or https. Thanks. Ok if I shutdown and restart WSA then launch Chrome I see the padlock for about 10 seconds then it goes away. Is this normal?

Webroot Filtering Extension
Lately when opening some particular web pages, IE11 becomes unresponsive, and I can't click on any links. After a few seconds IE11 starts working again. Disabling the filtering Extension immediately correct the issue on all pc's (four) A example www.rtlnews.nl (a dutch online newssite) Uninstalling en reinstalling Webroot Secure Anywhere Antivirus 188.8.131.52 doesn't solve the problem No other security product installed Webroot Filtering Extension 184.108.40.206 I already opend a support ticket. To me it looks like Webroot Filtering Extension can't handle the many external links that are embedded.
Webroot blocking LoJack problem..
I just spent 109 bucks on the 3 year protection of lojack for my laptop. When I attempted to install it, it was having issues sending data on where it was located and would not complete the install until I removed Webroot. Simply turning off the firewall did not work. I know what the lojack files are called that are running all the time. WHen i reinstall webroot i dont think they could get out to the internet if my laptop is stolen. I dont like the idea of moveing to a antvirus software I didn't pay for to fix this. Anyone have any ideas how i can open up a small hole to let the files communicate out?
Should Default User Settings include 'Warn' not 'Enable Max Heuristics'?
Hello to all readers of the forum. Just did an Old Test - Comodo Leaktest. Yeah this program is now like so old it doesn't even see my OS as win7.'Cause back in 2008 that's all it knows. Bless. Anyways I ran the test and scored 200 then I did it over and got 5% better score. I changed one setting. This one - 'Warn' and not 'Enable max heuristics'. So here's the point do I now permanently change my default security settings from 'Enable max heuristics' to 'Warn'? Leaktest score says definitely Yes but as we live in a democracy of fonts I want you to tell me what's really better.

Browser extension problems
I'm on Mac and when offered to install a browser extension it installs on Safari but not on Chrome. Than every few days it offers me again to install it.... if I'm fast to click "Don't install", then it's "ok" (except for the fact that this is really bothering me and that it doesn't work on Chrome - at least stop asking me if it just cannot be installed - or I don't want it installed). The worse thing is if I don't cancel that dialog imediatelly then my Chrome browser with 100 open tabs just crashes (http://cl.ly/image/021c2q0X2n3k) - unacceptable! There is no option in the settings to disable checking if browser extension is installed. I wrote to support 8 days ago and no answer... Also I cannot find the instructions to uninstall Webroot from my Mac for the time being (or forever if not fixed). What can I do? david
identiy shield question
I fully understand that Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Opera are the only browsers supported by Firefox. I understand that Edge is not. However if I enter Microsoftedge.exe and Microsoftedgecp.exe into the identity shield Application protection screen in Webroot, even though it makes Edge unusable I see the little gold padlock on the Webroot icon in the task manager, as I do with Firefox, Chrome and Opera. When I put the Vivaldi.exe into the identity protection screen I do not see the little gold padlock. I was under the impression that the gold padlock showed when the executable program was entered into the Webroot identity shield application screen and that program opened. Am I wrong?
When I right click 'Open Anywhere Folder' from my system tray WSA icon, nothing happens. All the other features are working with a right click. Does this have anything to do with my Backup and Sync still not functioning? Support is still working on that and said it "should" be resolved in a couple of weeks.
We are seeing issues with Windows 7 desktops connecting to a Citrix session with their printers.
The printers connect successfully, however when they try to print to them the jobs seem to disappear. Attempting to print again, the printer shows offline in the session even though the Windows 7 OS can communicate with the printer fine. We disabled all functionality with Webroot and the issue persists, however when we flat out uninstall it printing from Citrix works as expected. We have added exclusions for the spooler folder and the Citrix installation folder with no luck. Any advice or feedback is appreciated as this is holding up a deployment of 2000 seats. Edited update: The printers are connected via network using a mixture of both TCP/IP ports and HP Proprietary ports.
