webroot wont close and using VERY HIGH cpu
I think webroot may be stopping my PC [windows 10] from going to sleep I can’t shut it down and it has very high CPU in task manager I tried opening it [maybe a new version opened] I then went through advanced settings, and manually closed it - but the ‘version’ in task manager is still open and ‘working’ Is that a virus? Say webrootsecureanywhere (32bit) WRSVC How do I kill that from running Is it really webroot Why is it running such high CPU and is it stopping my PC from going to sleep Thanks for any help
System Analyzer "an active process has a possible memory leak (chrome.com)"
I run scans daily on my laptop when I start up in the morning. I typically then run System Optimizer then an System Analyzer after the initial scan. I notice that if I have chrome open on a webpage when I run the System Analyzer I get the error "an active process has a possible memory leak (chrome.com)". If I don't have chrome open at the time I run the SA I never get the error. I always have a 100/100 score reguardless (yeah)! I have read the errors on this subject as they related to .exe files but I wasn't sure if the memory leak for chrome.com is caused by the same reason provided (programs on the computer incorrectly manage memory allocations). Closing and opening chrome and re-running the SA still produces the error. Jackie
Can't uninstall Webroot SecureAnywhere on Windows 10!
Secure Anywhere causing explorer.exe to use 310 mb of memory in Windows 10! Way to much! Why hasn't this problem been resolved by now? I'm irritated to all hell by Webroot right now! How can you put out a product that causes Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 to malfunction? dtouch wrote:The memory leak returns with Windows 10 x64? Running Windows 10 Pro x64 with WRSA 18.104.22.168 Yes it does but it's not WSA's fault as I said here: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Antivirus/Explorer-exe-using-up-to-300mb-RAM... we just have to wait till Microsoft fixes it again. It's their fault for certifying the Webroot program as compatible with Windows 10 when it isn't. Webroot knew about this from the windows 8.1 v
Sudo Command for Complete removal for MAC
Im just wondering if there's a complete Sudo or Terminal Commands that will remove all files from Webroot for MAC. I've been struggling for years that we always have to connect to support to remove the AV from our computers. No uninstallers or removal tool available. Why is that? The support agents seem to run all commands, why is it not available on support websites for a guide to completely remove it and just always redirect for filing a ticket.
Webroot won't install in Windows 10 S Mode
Today I helped a friend setup her new HP 14 in laptop that she purchased from Best Buy which was delivered to her house. My friend knows nothing about Windows or PCs. Best Buy gave her a free Webroot Anti Virus with the price of $49.99. Now mind you I am an expert at installing Webroot on a computer. Right? Just look at my signature below. LOLS Well it happens that I have never run into a Windows OS running in S Mode. For the life of me I could not install Webroot after telling my friend Webroot is the best of all the rest. IMO..Best Buy gives her a keycode and it said on the box to go to webroot.com/safe. I go to install Webroot and Windows pops up with the Microsoft Store explaining to me that I am running Windows 10 S Mode. Which I find only programs from the Store are allowed for security/protection. So we called BB and they want us to bring the laptop back to the store to disable S Mode. btw: Best Buy is 45 minutes away! So we made an appointment for Wednesday. So I just g
Webroot agent Unistallation
I have multiple agents installed on users computers in my company. I do have an access to control panel and I can see agents over there but when I send a command to them and check if this command was executed in logs it says “elaspsed”. Is this because the service already expired and I am not able to communicate with agents anymore? I have read multiple threads on it and none of them solved my problem. I tried to manually uninstall agents. Most of computers run on windows 10. With CMD method “ WRSA.exe -uninstall” I get the prompt “do you really want to unistall ...” but nothing happens after it. I tired to unistal via control panel it also did not work Unfortunately running computers in safe mode is impossible because they have bitlocker installed and I do not have keys anymore. How do I unistall it via control panel without subscription? Is there any other way to unistall it ? PS. Diffrent computers have diffrent versions of webroot installed I will greatly appreciate any ad

Antivirus "do you allow webroot to make changes to your hard drive?" popup is back
It looks like the latest update has triggered the system’s “...do you allow Webroot to make changes to your hard drive?” (as far as I can tell, the last time this happened 4 years ago, I didn’t want to resurrect that thread) Despite clicking ‘Yes’, it’s popping up every time I start up my PC. What’s causing it, and how do I stop it?

Hello. I have loaded the software and have scanned my PC's. When I click the icon in the task bar and then try to open I recieve the following. I am trying to get my favorite game working on a new computer. When I bought this computer, I decided to try webroot because I had heard good things and I had heard that it would still work together with Nortons. Long story short, webroot will not allow me to play my game and I had to turn it off just to get it downloaded. I had hoped that once downloaded I could safely play it, but now WR has snagged my .exe for the game. I need to restore my .exe and get WR to allow the game or WR has to go. I have read some of the other posts with the same complaints, but the places indicated to make the exceptions do not seem to exist on my veersion. I accept that I am most likely doing something wrong and not getting where I need to go so I am asking for help. Thanks.

Remote installation via GPO... Error %%1274
I searched first, but didn't find this topic. However, I think there must be more people with this problem. I am trying to deploy via GPO, but several of the machines never accept the installation. The logs show error %%1274, and verbiage like this: "Failed to apply changes to software installation settings. The installation of software deployed through Group Policy for this user has been delayed until the next logon because the changes must be applied before the user logon. The error was : %%1274" "The assignment of application Webroot SecureAnywhere from policy AV Deploy failed. The error was : %%1274" "The Group Policy Client Side Extension Software Installation was unable to apply one or more settings because the changes must be processed before system startup or user logon. The system will wait for Group Policy processing to finish completely before the next startup or logon for this user, and this may result in slow startup and boot performance."
Webroot not working on MAC
I just update my cataline and now my Webroot is not working. I know it wasn’t supported as a 64bit software and I’m assuming thats most likely the cause. I reisntall it and see if its compatible or not. I followed the instruction but but the link brings me to the webpage to buy it. Any help on getting it back would be helpful!

How can I rectify the issue and help releive her fears. Thanks. Marie
