I recall a while back Webroot had some sample curriculum or a training path for the SAT videos, but can’t for the life of me find that page now. It basically had a suggested order to watch the videos so people got a good overview of cybersecurity. Does anyone know where to find that? Thanks!
Hi,We have a small network of ~50 users all on the same webroot account. I am doing some email safety training and one of the tasks included in Microsoft Defender is a phishing simulation. It sends an email to all users, simulating a typical phishing scam. It logs details of all users who click through and share their credentials on the fake site. When I ran a test to my user, it looks like webroot is blocking the site as suspicious. Our current configuration does not provide users with the option to override this. Is there a way to unblock this site so that I can continue my test?For reference, the site it’s directing me to is https://www.attemplate.com/.Thanks
the root says...low ram avalable.....windows will not recognize the ram or the processor in system v
hello and the root has been a great security program,,,not sure my problem is root related,,,root says low ram,,,i has 16 gig 4sticks of 4gig,,, 2. windows wont recognize the processor or the ram in system view where it tells about what you have. any help would be greatly appreciated ,,,thanks

If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation. I use Firefox, Edge, and Chrome browsers; all three receive the same error message. Eight months ago I was able to post in the forum. Others are posting. The site is up and running. I’m in contact with the site admin. Can it be Webroot?
I use webroot to centrally manage devices for out clients. Our policy is set to poll every 15 minutes. I’ve sent the command to the device that I want to uninstall it on, the command log shows delivered, but the program isn’t uninstalling. I’ve reset the device too and tried to refresh config on it but still webroot remains. How long does it take for the webroot client to act on the commands it receives? How can i force this to unistall?
Hi, I tried to enable DNS protection for a macOS device (v10.15.3 Catalina). I noticed there is only a Windows icon on “Install DNS Protection” settings. Does this mean DNS protection is not yet supported on macOS? I checked the docs but couldn’t find anything about this. Is there a way to manually install the DNS protection agent if it is not possible via the policy settings? Thanks for any help.
Greetings Webroot Community! I wanted to share a recent issue that we have been experiencing with some clients that use both Microsoft Office products, and Webroot Business Endpoint Protection. Recently, some of our users have reported that when they are trying to edit and save documents in Word and Excel they experience a pop up that advises them that they cannot save their changes because “another user” currently has the document open. We tried several different ways to get this error to go away, however each time we have had to uninstall and reinstall the Webroot agent on the client machines. Our working fix for the issue is to deactivate protection in our RMM portal, on the endpoint in the management console, and then uninstall the agent on the system locally through a windows command window using the following command: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Webroot\WRSA.exe” -uninstallWe then reactivate protection through our RMM portal, allow the agent to reinstall, and sign out and back into t
For the past couple of weeks I have been getting alerts on my laptop from Webroot telling me that it’s blocking this or that app from linking to the Internet because it does not trust the apps.The silly part of this is that it is telling me that it does not trust apps such as Chrome or apps that come as part of the Win 10 package. Examples below.It takes three or four clicks on the “Always allow” button to get rid of the alert.The next day it comes back again.Okay, so it’s not a fatal problem, but is very irritating. And plainly there is something wrong.Does anyone know how to fix this? Alternatively, does anyone know how to get the attention of Support, who so far have not bothered to respond?
Hello, Webroot Community.I run Webroot utilities every morning in order to keep things clean on my Windows 10 (Dell) desktop PC.I click on the Save Report button, which saves the report on my desktop. I’d like to configure Webroot to place the report file into a folder which I specify. Please offer suggestions. Thanks.
I have been using the WebRoot PC security software for six years and renewing on a yearly basis. I recently renewed for 1 year in January 2023. Suddenly in late February 2023, a message is displayed on the WebRoot console message window stating that the subscription is expired, even though the status window still shows that the subscription is “Active” and the pc is “Protected”. A second popup window also shows the subscription expired, renew now message. I contacted customer support and the agent, although friendly, was unable to solve the issue. He wanted to “remote in” to my computer, which I was extremely leery of. He finally told me to ignore the erroneous messages as long as the software was running ok. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get rid of the erroneous message?
Repro for this error is very simple: open Chrome with Web Threat Shield extension installed, F12 to open dev tools, CTRL+SHIFT+M for emulator, choose any iOS device, reload page, extension file content_scripts/main.js:17 throws ‘Uncaught ReferenceError: browser is not defined’.A minor annoyance, but one I’d be very grateful for a fix for. Sorry if this is in the wrong sub-forum, I wasn’t sure which was most appropriate.
Hi there,I am wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue and has any advice:Every time we push a phish test, we have partners forward the phishing email to our help desk. What we discovered recently is that when someone forwards the email our outbound mail filter “clicks” the link.I have discussed this with our spam filter and there is no workaround. They have to protect their IPs from being blacklisted as a source of spam.I’m just curious if anyone else has encountered this and ask what you’ve done.Seems to me the only way to prevent this is to educate users NOT to forward the emails. But we also don’t want to discourage partners reporting security concerns.Open to suggestions. What do you guys do?
I’m dealing with a domestic abuse case with a cybersecurity architect and just found out he’s been living a double life with another woman for the last 4 years. He has always threatened he can get into my cameras at home, phones, and monitor me via my Wi-Fi. I’ve also found suspicious apps installed on devices like my fire tv and phone, and was wondering if anyone could help me prove his actions and trace them even if he has access to many cybersecurity resources and IP masking apps.
This is a bit more complicated than the error message about Tor and XPCOM but it’s a major part. About four or five days ago I tried to open Tor Browser on one of my two laptops. Immediately, instead, a WebRoot message appeared that said it had detected a virus in XPCOM but (probably misremebering) only had one option and that was to delete the virus. From that point on every time opening Tor it began to open but then that error message Cannot Load XPCOM. Decided to delete Tor and reinstall it. In Win11 Settings I looked for it under Apps but nothing even close to Tor was listed. Looked for it in File Explorer but again no listing. Went back to the desktop and right clicked the Tor Browser and told WebRoot to completely erase it. Tried again for the Start Tor link. All of the Tor links are still there and work save for XPCOM. Tried to just download a new program but even that stopped at an XPCOM error. Tried to download the program file with a slightly different file name bu
Any help would be very much appreciated.I inherited support of a server that has webroot secureanywhere running on it. I am unable to install SQL Server because of a registry conflict with webroot secureanywhere, but I have no ability to uninstall webroot secureanywhere. Webroot does not appear anywhere in the uninstall list under control panel There is no WRSA.exe file anywhere on the computer The only files I have are under webroot\core and the uninstall option did not work with any of those Webroot secure anywhere appears 4 times in the task manager including WRSkyClient and WRCoreService. If I try to end the task it does not end. Is there any for of stand alone uninstaller or any other way to remove webroot from my system?
I’ve had WR Complete installed on 3 laptops for the past year and each is set to expire in 4 days. I just bought a “download” renewal subscription that I thought would provide a new keycode. Instead it only provides a link to the wsinstall.exe installation app which, when clicked on, only opens my currently-installed Webroot app..How do I find my new keycode?Thanks,
