Just updated to Mac Monterey 12.3 yesterday, and Webroot 9.5.0.139 detects Xprotect Remediator MRT v3 as Keylogger.Refog.1.r. Can anyone verify this, please? Thanks.
Long story but bear w/me..bought laptop fm BestBuy w/Norton included. Notified by BestBuy Norton no longer supported and sent me to Webroot where Anti-virus was downloaded and good till 9/4/2014. Geek squad will renew for $53+ but same protection is avail. fm Webroot for $40. No brainer... My question is this: As I already have the software anti-virus already downloaded, on 9/14/2014 do I tell Webroot I want to "renew" or do I have to uninstall and re-install the anti-virus?
I recently bought an HP laptop with Windows 10 Home installed on it, previously using Windows 7 and WRSA on othr PCs. I installed WRSA Antivirus on the new laptop and the Windows 10 firewall is switched on, also the WRSA firewall is switched on. I am a long-time WRSA user and recall that the WRSA firewall works in a complementary way on top of the Windows firewall, so no problems so far.... In advanced settings, under Firewall / Webshield there appear only webshield options, the Firewall options are completely blank. Is this normal on Windows 10 ? I previously used WRSA Complete so I thought that restriction might be due to version differences as well? Screenshot attached. Appreciate a quick answer please, need to go travelling soon and would like to increase the level of firewall protection to alert when new unknown processes start, not just when WRSA thinks I am infected.. Webroot SecureAnywhere Mobile found 1 threat today: Mobile tracker com.andriod.settings.mt It is however unable to remove it. Is there anyway to tell if this is a real threat or a false positive. If it is a threat how would I remove it without wiping the phone. Running Samsung Galaxy S2 Andriod 4.0.3. Thanks
After I installed the new version of Chrome last night, it stopped working. It still works in Edge. I just get the little green icon that looks like a flower. Anyone else?
The Webroot Filtering Extension is slowing my computer way down. To the point where things time out before loading. How do I disable, uninstall the filtering extension?
Today after updating Chrome, if doing a search in Google I now get a spinning circle instead of Webroot's check mark. I see the check marks in IE whether using Bing or Google for searches. In Chrome doing a Googe search I get the spinning wheels, but using Bing's search in Chrome I get the WR checkmarks. WOT's ratings were not affected. Seems everytime there is a Chrome update Webroot has some kind of problem. Any idea how long till WR resolves this?
Hi all, I've already contacted support about this and I'm getting nowhere so I thought I'd try here. Last month I bought SecureAnywhere Essentials for 5 PCs. Today I wanted to try out the Backup & Sync solution but no matter what I do, I am getting an error that my credentials are invalid. Also, I had decided to look into upgrading so I could use the password manager features. When I go to upgrade/renew on my account though, it says I "You are currntly using the best security protection for your PC." and that I own Webroot SecureAnywhere Complete. Yet, there is no password manager in the software I have installed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and am running 8.0.2.14. Any idea why the discrepency in versions and why the backup tool won't recognize me? Is everything lost in some kind of transition with the new product line? Support has just asked me to reinstall again and keeps telling me my license is for Essentials, despite what the site is telling me.
I tried to submit this via a support ticket but it doesn't allow me to enter my password. I uploaded one of the files, spriter.exe, to virustotal.com and it is only hitting on webroot so I'm thinking false positives. I run Webroot Secure anywhere and I haven't found the Webroot filtering extension for Firefox on Waterfox, a 64 bit reiteration of Firefox. When I had to install a 32 bit browser for BattleField 3 I found that it immediatly prompted me to install it for regular Firefox. Again I have not been able to sucessfully find the prompt for Waterfox after reinstalling WSA. Is the plugin 64 bit ready for FF?
I have Internet Security Plus. I do not understand how the sheilds work. According to this explanation https://docs.webroot.com/us/en/home/wsa_pc_userguide/wsa_pc_userguide.htm#ShieldingYourPC/PCShieldsOverview.htm%3FTocPath%3DShielding%2520Your%2520PC%7C_____0 I should see icons displayed that help me determine if sites are secure/safe. But no icons appear. Can someone help me to understand how this works. Thank you very much.
Are there any issues with Webroot and Microsoft Edge? I am not certain which browser to make as my default.
I just installed Windows 8.1 Pro then installed WSA for PC Gamers but I noticed that the right click menu for scanning using WSA is not there I restarted then checked, not there I disabled the option to have the right click menu from settings, then re-enabled it, then restarted still not there what gives?
Hello' This morning it seems that my Wifi on my Android will not connect at all. This worked perfectly yesterday and before that. Stays on this screen and I've tried connecting to other places but same thing. Please advise. My Android has been rebooted. I am so very frustrated. I work full time, and I go to school full time, so I have a very limited amount of time, but I spent the whole day trying to get rid of this Win.Useradded trojan. Webroot did not even discover that I had it until I ran rkill, malware bytes, then ad-aware and then hijackthis. Now my computer is not responding (I do not have permission to reinstall internet explorer 10). I am locked out of doing so many things. Files are missing. I am at my wits end! I have a Windows 7 system, so I am guessing I have whatever Microsoft was trying to prevent everyone from getting. Well, too late. PLEASE HELP ME! Anyone! Soon for both my computer's sake, my 2 online classes sake, my calculus class, and my physics course (which I have to complete homework online) and finally for my own sake (seriously, everything is falling apart in my life and this is just one more thing). It has disabled Microsoft Security Essentials. Any time I run Webroot and Webroot finds an
Since a while ago Webroot has been acting a little weird. Installers sometimes take forever to load and my Autohotkey scripts are occasionally blocked. I've allowed the exes in detection configuration but it doesn't seem to help. I know Webroot is at fault somehow because when I disable Webroot there's no slowdowns or blocked executions. Does anyone know what's causing this?`:@
Hello, Since yesterday both my Windows 7 pcs are displaying the UAC prompt ( user account control ) Webroot wants to make changes to windows at every bootup. I have to click yes each time for webroot to load. If I change the User account control settings to never notify me then I do not get the prompts. I do not want to do this in case any unwanted programs make changes to windows or install. Please help. Stephen
