I know we think so at Webroot - which is why we stress the importance of mobile security at BYOD companies - but do you think most COMPANIES agree? Even with all the stories of Android malware out there today, does leadership think it's a concern? Would love to hear everyone's thoughts,

I have Webroot SecureAnywhere and this morning when I got online I noticed that I had a Webroot app had been added right next to my address bar along with my other 2 apps; Gmail and AdBlocker. Now I haven't gone to the app store and added this to chrome it just did it itself. When I go to my extensions, it shows Webroot Password Manager. When I click on the app itself it asks me for email and password. I haven't done it yet because I wanted to know if this is some new feature of Webroot or is something trying to get my account info. Thanks!

I sent a question to support regarding the new amount of online backup space available (25GB) vs the size when I subscribed (10GB) and recived a reply that the online backup space has been increased from 10GB to 25GB, I still show that there is only 10GB available to me, when will the increase be applied to my account? Thanks.
Have had webroot secureanywhere running with mcaffe security center v11 for months w/o problems. I let them update when the need arises. I have had both scan the system including other independent products and no virus or trojans id'd. Some pups but of the general nature ones. Nothing worse when you are in the middle of something and the screen starts freezing. Updated the video drivers and it seemed to eliminate the issue but returned aparadically. Stated IE without addons but didn't solve the freeze. Then decided to shutdown SecureAnyWhere and have not yet had the type of freeze (other than perhaps some impatience) previously experienced.. Don't like the idea of having the product shutdown since i'm a paid subscriber but something is going on that is causing a significant conflict and eventual screen freeze and it appears related to secureanywhere.
Hi~ For the past two weeks the following sites won't work properly unless I turn off Webroot: www.mixbook.com (after login, I'm no longer able to load personal albums from the site) www.microsoft.com - I'm trying to access an addon for OneNote 2007. Here is the link I've tried to access. http://blogs.msdn.com/b/descapa/archive/2007/02/17/sort-pages-powertoy.aspx Other users appear to have access to these sites and the Mixbook support team told me the problem is with my security software. I've already added the site addresses to Webroot's Webthreat Shield as allowed sites but they still won't load using multiple browsers unless I disable Webroot. Any suggestions to correct this problem would be very much appreciated.
When I use a search engine Google or Bing in IE9 the results have a green check mark or sometimes a red X in front of them. IE is my default browser, but I use Chrome most all of the time as my main browser unless for some reason I need to use IE. The green check marks don't appear in the search engines when using Chrome, only when using IE9. I have WOT installed on both browsers. In IE9 using either search engine Google or Bing, the search results have a green check mark, the WOT circle, the body of the result, then another WOT circle. If I click on the check mark it opens the Webroot home page. If I click on the WOT circle next to the check mark it gives a WOT rating of Webroot's home page. The WOT mark at the end of the result gives the info on the actual site. Sorry to be so long winded, but my question is; Where do these check marks come from? Is this normal in IE searches. I've done Google and Bing searches and haven't been able to find an answer that seemed
I just got done installing webroot internet plus. I activated the passwords from the control panel and waited about a half hour and tried to use it. When logging in it tells me unknown email address. Did I miss a step when I activated it? The next day witch is today I tried to use it again when I got home and tells me the same thing. I tried doing the tool bar fix but that did not work. I have searched the forums for and answer and have been unable to find anything that can help me fix this problem. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks, Rob
:I have a new two week old computer that I wanted to get decent virus protection installed. I uninstalled the free 30 day promo software that was on the computer then uploaded a 14 day trial of webroot. When I restarted the computer, my computer would not open. I let it sit for 4 hours hoping that it would find a way. NOPE. So I had to restore my two week old computer to open it. In the process I lost all of the programs that had been uploaded which included a main program for my employer that was essential to my job. I read all of the reviews on this software and installed it believing I would have no issues. Do you put reviews on sites to make it look as though this is the best software???? I have used Kaspersky as well as Norton in the past and had nooo issues. Unless my programs can be restored I will be going on the sites to resolve the lies that are posted. I am just disgusted.
Hello, I have discovered by chance that WSA Android can be easily terminated. If you open WSA in Applications Manager and press Enforce Termination WSA terminates then. I had expected a prompt for a password like when you uninstall WSA. It seems like a security hole, doesn't seem? In this way a malware can easily terminate WSA and penetrate into Android. Nevertheless it might be rather Android limitation/behaviour than a security flaw. Therefore any comment is appreciated. Thanks & regards, pegas
Any plans on adding other localizations to Webroot products, for example Hungarian? I'm a native Hungarian speaker and could help translating to Hungarian (did a number of translations in the past, see here: My translations )
My wifes brand new laptop (Toshiba Satellite/4 gig ram/dual i3 processor) came with McAfee on a 30 day trial. This was uninstalled using the McAfee removal tool. When I had bought a new desktop from Ebuyer a few months ago they.gifted me a copy of Webroot Security Everywhere Essentials 2012 which was still cellowrapped and unused so I thought that this was the ideal opportunity to try it out. Installation was easy and without a hitch and all seemed to be well untill I tried to reboot. Windows started to load followed by a black screen with cursor for between 30 secs and 1 minute. The Welcome screen eventually appeard and again hung for 30 secs to 1min. This was followed by a black screen, again, for 30 secs to 1min. At last the desktop wallpaper appeared but with no taskbar icons. I was about to reach for my Acronis rescue disk when the taskbar icons slowly started to load. I rebooted three times with the same result every time .... total time to get everything apparently loaded
This morning, Webroot Secureanywhere did not start. OnlineArmor asked if I wanted to allow a program with a name similar to "WRupdate347369.exe" to execute out of the temp folder. It identified itself as a Webroot program but the numbers seemed strange and executing out of the temp folder concerned me. I NEEDED to log in for a webinar so execution was blocked and Secureanywhere had to be manually started. The executable did not appear again. Was this a legitimate WR update? If so, how can it be verified before allowing it to execute? (Comment: It has been advised by other applications (JAVA & Adobe are the most notorious) not to allow automatic updates to execute but rather go to the website and get the update directly.)

I have a question about the security capabilities of Webroot Mobile. Example: I'm sitting in a public area using my iPhone and all is well it seems. However, there is someone sitting a few feet away attempting to hack into my iPhone via Wifi and access my private information stored on the phone. Does Webroot Mobile help protect my iPhone from this type of attack? Does it allow me to encrypt that private information? Thanks!
Hello, I've installed my licensed Webrotte SecureAnywhere on my new Galaxy Note 10.1. Now the device is locked for good by WebRoot and I just can't get anywhere ... changing password on the my.webrootanywhere.com doesn't help at all ... I'm stuck with the 10.1 device. Even a device reset is not allowed ... Samsung Galaxy S III where I've got a copy of the same WebRoot running works fine ... Any help on this would be greatly appreciated ;o) Thanks Kimi
Okay so I love this antivirus, my job is selling computers and I am always recommending webroot, but, there is this webroot icon that appears on my desktop every time i turn my computer on. I drag it to the recycling bin and then next time I reboot it's right back up there again. I need to have my desktop organized and clutter free so I need this dang thing off of there. I have the little icon down in the lower right hand corner of my taskbar. So why the big bulky icon? I cannot seem to find any option in the settings to rid myself of it nor can I find the answer to this on google. HELP!! :/
