Questions About a Webroot Product? Start Here!
Hi all, I've already contacted support about this and I'm getting nowhere so I thought I'd try here. Last month I bought SecureAnywhere Essentials for 5 PCs. Today I wanted to try out the Backup & Sync solution but no matter what I do, I am getting an error that my credentials are invalid. Also, I had decided to look into upgrading so I could use the password manager features. When I go to upgrade/renew on my account though, it says I "You are currntly using the best security protection for your PC." and that I own Webroot SecureAnywhere Complete. Yet, there is no password manager in the software I have installed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and am running 188.8.131.52. Any idea why the discrepency in versions and why the backup tool won't recognize me? Is everything lost in some kind of transition with the new product line? Support has just asked me to reinstall again and keeps telling me my license is for Essentials, despite what the site is telling me.
Ok, I had a few issues getting secure anywhere complete keycode sorted - this is now done. I managed to install SecureAnywhere Complete android app onto my Galaxy Ace 2, I check MyWebroot, and the device was listed but showing as having 8 issues that need resolving. I look on the device, and it says there are no issues, however the webroot icon is not showing up in the notification area at the top of the screen. So I think I will try uninstalling and re-installing the app, it asks for a password - I enter the password I used to install the app and to log into myWebroot, and it is not accepted. I check the "Subscription Active" link on the app, and the correct keycode is listed, but no email address. When I log back into MyWebroot, the Ace 2 is no longer listed. So, the phone has webroot installed but seemingly not working properly, but I cannot remove the app to reinstall it because it appears the lack of email address in the subscription details of the app mean th
What is the System Events monitoring function? So far it says it has inspected over 3 BILLION system events since installation. What is that all about? Is this using any resources, what exactly is it inspecting? Is it reporting events on my system? Thanks.
On my start up Webroot Security Complete the left hand selection in the System Tools tab is not there. How does that work. I needed an upgrade and had been receiving the ret stripe error=10 message. After the update and reinstal I no longer have that message appearing. That's good but the System Tools tabe selection "System Analysis" is no longer available. Anyone?
My Essentials Identity and Privacy Protected Applications show the msimn.exe in c:program filesoutlook express and mshtml.dll in c:windowssystem32 buttons as Deny. iexplore.exe in c:program filesinternet explorer show the button as Protect. Shouldn't all three of these show protect since they are all Microsoft products? I even clicked store defaults and they stay the same. My identity shield is on. :8

I start my "Complete" program and hit backup & sync. It SAYS it's "Loading," but nothing happens. I hit "open file manager" and it asks me to sign in, which I do... But nothing ever happens. It keeps asking me to sign in over and over... not rejecting the sign in...Just not reacting after I sign in. I checked the PC Security computers protected and it says 6 computers protected... even though I only have one. Sometimes I get an error message telling me to shut down the computer and start over... Which I do...Only to experience the same frustrations! I simply want to backup my computer! Thanks, Dave
Hi folks! I seem to be in all sorts of bother.. Firstly my Samsung Galaxy Note decided to keep going round in circles to the Unlock Screen claiming an MTP error. One forum recommended removing all Device Administrators in Settings. This included removing the Webroot SecureAnywhere Administrator. I tried to do this but got into another loop of going round in circles. Now the Unlock Screen is looking for a password but won't accept any of my standard passwords. I assume it is the Webroot SecureAnywhere Administrator password it requires, but if I had set this, I would have used a standard password. The device is now stuck on this Unlock Screen and nothing I offer seems to satisfy it. I thought I might be able to access the phone via Webroot's online system, but this is also unavailable to me. Before I can register to use it, I have to provide my keycode which I cannot find. I tried to use Webroot's resend keycode routine but that failed to recognise my email address even thou
The [b]Essentials[/b] license that I am using now is getting close to its expiration (31 days left). I have a New 1 year [b]Essentials[/b] Keycode that I wanted to add to this license. I put in a ticket to CS and this is the reply: Hello, Thank you for contacting Webroot. We have looked into the accounts your asking to combine days. At this time we are unable to do this. You have two different products from Webroot if your still having questions and to better assist you with your inquiry, we recommend that you contact our Sales Team. Recently installed the SecureAnywhere Compete on my Android phone and when I attempted to login with my credentials i received the following error " Your user credentials are not associated with this SecureAnywhere Complete keycode. Make sure you've created this user on [url=http://my.webrootanywhere.com]http://my.webrootanywhere.com[/url] and try again" inspite of the user credentials being created and associated with the keycode i still keep getting the same error message. Any assistance would be appreciated.
I din't htink I would be back so soon after two posts about things that were resolved and neither turned out to be WRA problem. This one I feel like I owe it to report. I don't know how I could have been so stupid, but I got an email telling me someone had changed the settings on my Amercan Express account and to click the link if this wasn't true. Hope this is the right place to post this! I've just had my laptop stolen and, although I hold little hope of ever seeing it again, I wondered if there's any way for SecureAnywhere to help me track it down. On the webrootanywhere console I can view the last time any of my computers were scanned. And that gives me a potentially useful IP address. My question (maybe a stupid one) is this: is there any way to somehow communicate with the lost laptop if ever the thief connects to the internet? Would there be any way to remotely tell it to run a scan and thus register the IP address? I realise this might seem like a stupid post but I have to ask.
On one of the machines I installed WRSA complete there is no icon in the tray. I can see the program listed under My Computer, and even send a shortcut to the desktop but it won't open up. The only way I can get it to scan is to click on the C:drive and have it do a scan with Web Root. Can someone help?
The service LastPass had installed version 7?? and had placed a document in my 2007 Excel with all my accounts and user names. I found this by going to Click Start--enter LastPass in the search bar--to my surprise there is this LastPass listed!! I deleted the Excel document and then delelted the shortcut. I have restarted my machine but still receive this error message just below the browser in IE9. I have never requested LastPass, given permission to LastPass to access my info or install any of their products or services. The error message still appears, usually momentarily and then will dissapear when I navigate. However, occassionally the red stripe error message prevents me from scrolling on the page being viewed on the screen. What other measures are there I can do to get rid of it? Reinstalling the Webroot via tech support worked and the error message no longer appears.

Greetings - I updated my Foxit Reader from Version 5.3.1.0606 to Version 5.4.2.0901. The old version ran lightning fast (1-2 seconds to load a pdf from my documents). The new version takes [b]over a minute to load[/b] a pdf from my documents. The new version also takes over a minute to close Foxit Reader. I noticed in my "Control Actice Processes" that Foxit Reader is listed as "Monitor" for the new version of Foxit Reader. I set the Active Process to "Allow" and the new version of Foxit Reader now opens as fast as the old version. For Foxit Reader, should I leave the setting at "Allow"? From reading my Computer trade journals, there can be threats embedded within pdf's. Could this be the reason why Secureanywhere has a setting of "Monitor" for Foxit Reader? If so, is there a way to set Secureanywhere to "Allow" if a pdf has been opened from "my documents" before, and to "Monitor" if it is a pdf from a

I recently installed SecureAnywhere-Complete on an XP system containing IE7. Shortly, I will be upgrading to IE8.
