The Grand Theft Auto series of video games is no stranger to controversy and with the PC version of GTA V due to be launched this Tuesday 14th April, there are many who would rather it had never been made at all. GTA V was launched for PS3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013 and November 2014 for next generation consoles. In December last year both Target Australia and Kmart Australia banned the game from their stores and online outlets, claiming that customers were complaining about ‘violence towards women’ depicted in the game and that the game ‘encourages players to murder women for entertainment’. One has to assume that those complaints came from customers who had never actually bought the game then. Full Article
Trying to scan my computer and it says that I need to renew. I purchased a 3.5 year renewal on 10/7/2014. What's up? EDIT: <Threads merged as duplicates >; Baldrick
I got a perpetual license in August 2014. I have no paperwork that tells me what I got for my money. I don't know how to find out what I have and how I would change to a new computer. Can someone help me with this? EDIT: <Merged as a potential duplicate thread> Baldrick
But OK, we need Windows 10 first eh ? The latest on that one would be a Summer Release. However on Twitter, MS evangelist Phil Spencer revealed that we are likely to start seeing games that take full advantage of DX12 from the ground up later on this year. Microsoft’s Xbox One Chief Phil Spencer has been talking about DirectX 12 with curious Xbox community members through his Twitter account, and he claims that the console will see games developed specifically for the console by the end of this year. When asked about to comment on the likelihood of developers adopting DX12 natively, Spencer went on to state that he thinks studios will do what’s best for them and that given the fact that DX12 is available on both Xbox One and Windows 10, developers shouldn’t find themselves short of DX12 gamers. March 17, 2015 | BY Christopher Boyd If you’re on the fence about buying Minecraft, you may want to reconsider downloading a supposedly cracked version of the game which allows you to pay without playing. Minecraft 1.8, the name of the file on offer and so-called “Bountiful Update“, can supposedly be yours for the low cost of zero from minecraftcrackedinstaller(dot)com They claim the file on offer is “the official installer, with just a few code changes” to enable visitors to play it for free. Clicking the download link takes them to a second website, before finally offering up an executable file. During testing there seemed to be some rotation, so files downloaded may differ according to a variety of factors including campaigns and
What's that? We're finally on the cusp of GTA V hitting the PC? I think we can all agree, it's about **bleep** time. Aside from anything else, the fact that Rockstar has been apologising for the delays with big piles of in-game cash for the online mode means that we're only one last minute bug from it becoming Millionaire Simulator 2015. It just wouldn't be the same, arriving in Los Santos for a whole new start as a low-life scumbag by first jacking a car to get around, and then promptly buying a solid gold palace just as a place to stash all of your guns. The driver adds support for the mighty Titan X, which is based on the second-generation Maxwell architecture, and also adds or updates a handful of SLI profiles. They include:

Life is Strange - Added DX9 SLI
Medieval Engineers - Added DX11 SLI
NASCAR '14 -- Added single SLI
Trine 3 - Added DX9 SLI
Zombie Army Trilogy - Added DX11 SLI
Though the newest driver is recommended for Battlefield Hardline, Nvidia doesn't recommend running 3D Vision for the game (the same goes for Project CARS and Saint's Row: Gat Out of Hell). Also included in the driver is Dynamic Range control, which lets you use the full RGB color range for applications on HD displays. You'll find the option by going to Nvidia Control Panel > Display > Adjust Desktop Color Settings. VERY HAPPY / Just renewed it for 2 more years ...a few hours ago. Got my Lenovo laptop (my first laptop) a year ago. / Came with 1 year of WEBROOT PLUS. First off, it preformed flawlessly........yet ya barely notice it is there. I'm not unskilled, but far from a "Computer WIZARD" .............the setup is easy to use. It obviously covered all aspects of security better than every other anti-virus I previously used. Not one glitch if a full year. OK, so safe bet........Happy camper with WEBROOT performance! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- But add to that....this community forum has been a HUGE BONUS. I've only posted a couple of times with questions, even though had MANY QUESTIONS. I didn't need to post them because others already have and were answered well in threads. People a
Super Mario Fans can now enjoy playing Super Mario 64 in HD format on their browser
Super Mario 64, one of the first of its kind when video games allowed to move your gaming character in more than two dimensions. Super Mario was launched almost 24 years ago on Nintendo 64 platform and was very popular game which may seem pretty outdated now, but you still cant stop Mario Lovers including me from playing this HD recreation of Mario 64 in their browser. The EFF and the Entertainment Software Alliance are going head-to-head over the need to preserve functionality in abandoned games. The EFF wants an exemption to the DMCA to keep games alive after its servers are closed down, but the ESA and its allies the MPAA and RIAA are vigorously opposing the digital rights group. While video gaming used to be a strictly offline affair, in the current market many titles require continued access to custom online resources in order to function. Mortal Kombat is not a new name in the gaming industry, the game made its debut back in the 90s, and has evolved since then with improved gameplay, graphics and several new characters. The latest one to join the list in Mortal Kombat X, which is now available for multiple platforms including the Xbox One as well. The game carries a $59.99 price tag for the simple version while its premium version costs is priced at $89.99. Full Article

Hi, I just ran System Optimizer. Why do numerous files still show up in my Temp Internet File folder ? Shouldn't that folder be empty right after a cleaning? I have System Optimizer configured to clean almost everything including IE Temp Internet files. Also, how many times does System Optimizer overwrites files when it cleans? Window Washer used to offer options--for example 3, 7 or 35 overwrites. Thanks.
I cannot now get the Execution History (Utilities/Reports/View History) to load. It was working OK last week. Do I have to do a reinstall or is there an easier way?

Although we thought Battlefield Hardline showed superb graphics and smooth gameplay when we benchmarked it during last month's week-long public beta, the pre-launch build didn't quite displayBattlefield 4's wow-factor. The good news, of course, was that Hardline could be played on fairly modest hardware using the ultra-quality pre-set, which enables 4xMSAA and allows 60fps+ at 1080p with either the GeForce GTX 770 or Radeon R9 280X. Developed by Visceral Games and published by EA, the retail version Battlefield Hardline is now available and we are back to rerun all the beta tests along with others to see how the frame rates have changed from beta to retail.
