I will be upgrading to WSA Complete in a few months (Just before this keycode expires). There are a few accounts I have that require a double log in. Good example would be Bank of America. Window 1: User sign in. Window 2: Passcode. Does WSA Complete log into accounts with this type of log in?
I've been having virus trouble for a week now. I origonally had Norton running and after my 13 year old son had his friend come over to stay a couple days my computer started acting kinda wierd. I would hear ocasionally music playing in the background or a commercial ad like I was listening to the radio. Then it would stop for a few minutes or cut in and out. I noticed my bandwidth on my DSL modem was being used even when I don't have any programs open. So I started looking for other virus programs to scan my computer to figure this out. I've tried PC Tools Spyware Doctor and found a couple virus's. But the bandwith was still being used without my consent. And ocassionally I would still hear commercial ads in the background. I also tried AVG and Mcaffe without much luck. So I did a search for Top Rated Virus software and came across WEBROOT. I had to install it while in safe mode as I couldn't get anything to install while in normal mode. After downloading the trial version
Hi everyone, I am reposting this message here in the right spot because I posted it in the wrong forum earlier. We have Webroot Enterprise edition. Here it is: I have to deploy Webroot SecureAnyWhere remotely using the remote deployment tool (RDT). I read through the whole manual but not able to work out how to set the paramenter to set the proxy server up in the advanced filed in RDT. By default you have SME, quiet. Dont know what SME stand for. Then I tried to use thise command line: CMDLINE="-proxyhost=ourproxy -proxyauth=0 -proxyuser= -proxypass= -proxyport=8080" /qn /L*v C:Windowsinstall_log.txt But the above does not work. The documentation is not really clear on this and there are no practical examples on how to do this. Tried to contact Webroot support but no reply. Has anyone tried this before and if so can someone explain it better to me. Also the web interface disappears from the client. I can see the Webroot service is installed and running but
Hi Apologies if this has already been addressed. I did search all of support. I have noticed that recently WebRoot has started to display the same Threats Detected message about the same three items. There is nothing listed in my quarantined items folder. To clear the message I run a deep scan and the scan result shows "3 threats found". WebRoot informs me that they are categorized as W32.Malware.Gen. I wish to keep the files. (Besides, I have researched the three items online and found that they are often reported as false positives). I de-select them all, and confirm that they are all highlighted in the Allow column. The system then does a final scan and everything is fine. Until I get the same Threats detected message about the same three items. Am I missing something? Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to change a setting? Please help because it is beginning to get annoying. Many thanks Andy
I have one XP machine left, fully patched. It had WSAEP deployed to it with Group Policy. Ever since, it's been freezing hard after a random number of minutes. No mouse, no keyboard. I tried starting a scan on C: from the context menu then left the machine alone, it froze up soon after. Another strange thing: The machine has a Run entry in the registry, WRSA.exe -ul. But there is also an entry in Services, WRSVC, which points to WRSA.exe -service. The service is disabled, and I can't enable it. If I try I get a modal dialog that says "0x13d." On my Windows 7 machines this service is Automatic and started. I'm looking for tips on what to try. UPDATE: I uninstalled WSAEP from the XP box and forced a group policy update. After a reinstall the service is running. However I'm still getting the complete hang. The box has passed a full suite of Dell memory and system diagnostics.
Have been running PrevX for long time and just installed WSA Essentials on XP computer. I don't know whether there's any particular reason to do so, but can you, if you wish, run WSA and PrevX at the same time? The reason I ask: I installed WSA some time ago on a laptop, same circumstances, and PrevX disappeared after the WSA installation and I just assumed they shouldn't run together and WSA removed it. When I installed WSA a little while ago on this computer, after the installation and a reboot PrevX was still in the system tray (I had shut it down during the installation). I didn't turn the protection, on but a 'right-click' on the icon appeared that I could. I know I could now just uninstall PrevX, but thought I would ask about it first out of curiosity, as I just assumed you probably wouldn't want to run them together and likely couldn't if you wanted to. Still have a license for awhile on PrevX and just bought WSA on a great discount Thanks for any info on it... Quinn
From the mobile security website, you’ll be able to:

Find your phone on a map if it’s lost or stolen*
Activate a scream alert to find your phone nearby*
Remotely lock your phone to protect your personal data like passwords, contacts, and photos
How are you supposed to do any of that if you have to register first, and to register, you have to have a key code?

I am having a similar issue as several others on various postings but I'm unable to get a resolution so I thought I'd ask here. I have two PC's protected and working fine. My wife and I have exactly the same Android phones. My phone works fine but I am unable to log into Webroot through her phone and the the "the email or password you entered is incorrect". The online interface shows her phone "needing attention" and that the "USB debugging is enabled" where in fact it is not. I am unable to make the program run at all on her phone. Her phone did work just fine when new and she broke that phone and got an exact replacement and ATT moved her SIM card to the new phone. This is approximately when we started having issues with her Webroot software not working. What can I do to fix this? Thanks.
I downloaded the SecureWeb app from the iTunes store and installed on my iPhone. I have attempted to set up an account for Webroot but I don't have a product code for the SecureWeb app, therefor I cannot register. Without a User Name and Password I can't access the password feature in SecureWeb. What am I missing?
I could not find anything helpfull on the term 'protected information' in the help file nor on this forum. What kind of information is protected? Or are applications as a whole protected? I have had a lot of trouble using this feature and think I still have. I have moved almost all apllications to 'allow' mode. Understanding what exactly is protected, would help me to understand the usage of this potentially very usefull feature imho.
I've just had a somewhat frustrating encounter with Support. First off, the guy didn't know what Process Explorer is. Secondly, he told me it shouldn't be on my Desktop. Thirdly, he said it should already be "in Windows folder where the explorer is running." He then asked me why I "downloaded those exe from different places?" It was the last message that worried me the most:
Since those process explorer program will directly related with the process of the computer, and get information of the computer all the time, Webroot will monitor such applications so it such program can't mess up with the computer processes. This doesn't mean bad at all. Webroot Secure is doing what it suppose to do and nothing to worry about.
To me, this sounds like someone that doesn't have a very good grasp on the English language, which made me wonder whether Support Tickets are outsourced. Are they? It's frustrating to go back and forth over such a simple thing. To be
After submitting a ticket last night, I was given a link to download wsalogs, which I ran. After uploading the necessary files, it opened a Technical Support website (as it informed me it would) but it seems to have created a new account for me. I've also received an email with logon information, with a different password from what I normally use. So, do I now use this new password going forward, or is this a one-off for the wsalogs ticket?
Hi, To Start off, both me and my mom were updated to Webroot SecureAnywhere Essentials about 6 months ago. We both currently have version 126.96.36.199 (we're on the same license) and we both use PCs that run Windows 7. Before the update (aka the old version of Webroot), we would run scans, and it would catch everything, and it worked great. However, after the update, we both noticed that our scans would not detect any threats. I thought this was normal at first, but six months later, and after 50 or so scans, Webroot has not detected a single thing. I know that this cannot be pure luck, because Webroot was always catching things, on the old version. We checked to see if our subscription had run out, but we still have 279 days left on it. So...all in all, we're a little confused as to why nothing has been caught, ever since we were updated to the new version. Any help or input is appreciated! On a side note...we both have all of our Webroot firewalls and shields activated.
I've installed SecureAnywhere AV (SAAV) on 3 systems. For 2 of them, everything went smooth. On a third one though... After installing, I canot access internet. (Internet explorer has stopped working ... blah blah error msg) Disable all IE plug ins. No luck. From a cmd prompt: Ping well known sites such as google.com or cnn.com: fail Ping their IP, in case it is DNS related: fail Access shared drives on LAN, open files, etc.: *success!* (So, it seems to be IP stack related) Disable SAAV: does not fix Uninstall SAAV: does not fix Restore system prior to installation of SAAV: everything back to normal. After that, I updated windows to very latest updates and created a restore point. Everything still fine. Install SAAV: problem is back. Again, disable or uninstall SAAV does not solve the problem (** the fact that uninstalling does not fix it is very annoying) Restore to that new restore point: everything is fine. This system runs Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, and I'm using IE 8. SAAV

Just reformatted my computer and when I installed Spysweeper with Antivirus, it told me there was an upgrade available. I upgraded, and now it looks like two separate programs are running: Webroot SecureAnywhere, and Webroot AntiVirus with Spy Sweeper. Is this normal?
Hello, I have scoured the message boards for a solution to the log in fail I am getting. the message I recieve says "The email or password you entered is incorrect." Now I have read all the boards and the basic troubleshooting that you guys have posted and I am still getting the message. The phone does autofill the email address but I correct it. I believe the problem has something to do with I just bought another year and added an additional security key to my webroot page.
