So.....so far loving webroot, especially the concept behind the anti-virus. The firewall leaves me puzzled... How do you disable the 60 second auto-allow countdown? I have it set to ask on everything. Auto-allowing after 60 seconds is thus pointless...if I'm not sitting at the computer, it will allow...and I can't even stop the timer. If I want to research an app for a moment, the connection is allowed and I can't stop it unless I block it when I don't want to. It should be able to just sit happily until I take action...be it seconds or days later. So....where is that option hiding? Searching didn't help much. (And, keep up excellent work! :))
Here's what I need from my security suite:

It must be able to detect malware in downloaded/downloading files, in incoming email attachments and in malicious URL links. I use IMAP and IMAP-SSL mail systems.
It must, within acceptable tolerances, be able to block/quarantine the detected threat(s) before they take up residence on my machine.
Since no malware defense system is 100% effective, it must be able to remove any infections that slip through.
It must be able to defend itself from malware that attempts to disable or remove it.
It must prevent further damage by refusing to allow malware (that was not detected, blocked or removed) to "phone home".
Here's what I don't need:

I don't need a spam blocker. My ISP and my email client do a decent job of that already.
I don't need a password vault - I use LastPass for that.
I don't need a "web safety indicator" - I use WOT for that.
I don't want mobile device protection
With the Webroot Secure call blocker, the phone rings ONCE and THEN the call gets blocked. However, with my previous app (Easy Filter Call and SMS Blocker by Moonbeam), the phone does NOT ring at all. When will this be fixed? -------- (Latest update of Android on Xperia Pro)
Is your PC bloated with temp files? System Analyzer will tell you and SecureAnywhere can remove them
Large caches of temp files can bloat your machine and take up valuable hard drive space. After installing the Endpoint Protection, my browsers (firefox and chrome) seem to be using 15-20 % of the each (each) while I'm not doing anything... As soon as I uninstall the webroot endpoint, those numbers frop to 0-1 % for both firefox and chrome. Are we doing something wrong, or is this just a byproduct of the webroot endpoint? -Brian

Hi, For a year and a half now, I can click on one to three websites...then I get a light blue screen that will not allow me to go any further. I then have to click out of AOL or Internet Explorer (It doesn't matter what search engine I'm using) and restart my internet connection. On some channels like YouTube, I can stay on as long as I don't switch websites. I've run every single test in my HP Computer in addition to the basic Clearing History and Defragmenting. I've used every single program in System Mechanic and Optimized my computer with every single advantage that my Webroot Secure Anywhere Complete has to offer... Yet the problem still exists! I've got a AMD Athlon II x 4 processor... No problems with hard drive corruption...No known viruses...No RAM problems to be found... It's driving me nuts! Anyone have any ideas? Thanks! Dave at :) **Dave, I removed your email address from the post.&n
Hello, I have an HTC Legend phone, and I tried to run a Virus Scan. The following message occurs: Webroot failed to update its threat definitions. This likely means your device doesn't currently have internet access. You can continue your scan with the current definition set or cancel. Error: OutOfMemoryError processing def update. When I try to force definition updates the same error occurs. Can you help me. I don't want to continue run scans with old definitions, it won't be long before I'm not protected. Thanks.

My laptop has picked up a few things and I am having it analyzed online by the microsoft windows support center. They need me to turn off webroot and run a program called ComboFix. However, when I turn webroot 'off' per your instructions, (right click the icon in the system tray, select shut down webroot protection, type in the captcha) the scan is still showing that it is running. How do I disable it completely so I can run this log without damage?
One of the coolest features of System Analyzer is that it finds system devices on your PC that were installed incorrectly. Specifically, it will tell you "Some system devices are not functioning properly and may need to be reinstalled." But WHICH programs are at fault? Here's how to find out. First, click on "View Full Report" at the bottom of your System Analysis. This report will identify the programs that are corrupt and need to be reinstalled. Then, scroll down on the full report until you see "Devices Experiencing Problems." Here you'll see exactly what's causing issues and you can then uninstall and reinstall as necessary. [img]https://d1qy7qyune0vt1.cloudfront.net/webroot-en/attach
I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Too, neither do I know anything about Webroot nor do I know if I am posting this in the correct forum. Hopefully, someone will run across this post and be able to help/answer. Several months ago I was having issues with my internet connection and took my Win7 PC to Best Buy's Geek Squad. (Turns out all it was was a bad ethernet card.) While at Best Buy one of the Geeks installed a folder on my desktop called "Webroot System Analyzer." (My assumption is that they were suppose to delete the folder before I left the store -- but they didn't.) Anyway.... I have run "systemanalyzer.exe" (version 126.96.36.199) a number of times over the course of the past number of months. The "analyzer" continues to show that I have a eight virus files on my PC. These results posted below. Viruses:8

Mal/20113544-A
Mal/FakeAvCn-C
Mal/Jafuzzo-A
Mal/JavaKC-P
Mal/JavaObBa-A
Mal/JavaObSnd-A
Troj/JavaB
I downloaded the free app for my new Galaxy III. Worked like a charm. I can check the app and see the message "you are protected". Perfect. I installed the free app for my iPad 2. No joy. I never got any requests to synch it with my account. It shows it is installed but I don't have any idea what else I should see to be sure. Should I see messages like I do on my phone to let me know it is "protected"? When I look at my account, the only device that shows is the phone. Somebody please tell me what I am doing wrong or not doing.
Is it possible for webroot tech supoort to close my current account and then I could create a new account with a new e mail address and transfer my current Secure Anywhere Complete key to the new account? Reason I kind of would like to do this is because on my account page the Backup and Password icons are orange and say "Your keycode has now expired. To continue accessing Backups please renew your keycode now, or your data may be lost." This has happen because I had tech support change my current key from an international key one to a local USA key one. I relize its only a cozmedic glitch but it kind of bothers me :( lol
Ugh..well I was trying to get my company off of AVG/Norton/Panda . I personally run Webroot on 5 personal machines. Unfortunately the inability to exclude folders ie e:SupportSecurityTools on our customer servers/Terminalservers from scans is a show stopper. In the real world..users forget passwords to outlook, zip files.. Download crap which does strange things.... We also store software/misc tools for decoding passwords... scanning networks/packet sniffers; Nirsoft tools.... most of which can be considered hacker tools in the wrong hands. My Techs now hate Webroot because it munches their tools on remote servers. They have to disable Webroot completely (VERY BAD) download the deleted tools... run 'em and then re-enable Webroot.. This costs time/money and frustration. Only they (techs) have administrator access and Administrator read/execute is required for those special "Tools" directories. If Hacker/virus gets admin access... server is pretty much screwed anyway so the &quo
I have webroot installed on my mobile phone and have been using it fine for weeks. I used the phone in an airport OK and turned it off. I then needed to make another call and turned on the phone and up came the red webroot locked message. I did not ask for the phone to be locked and no one else has access to do that, so why did it happen? PS, I am not switching SIM card or anything like that. Just turned off the phone completely and turned it on again later to make a call.
