If a company has Webroot SecureAnywhere installed without the firewall feature enabled on all domain computers. Is it acceptable/Best practice to disable the windows firewall? Basically, leaving endpoints without any type of firewall? In this scenerio there is a Sonicwall NSA at the network edge and the company is considered a HIPAA covered entity.
We are an IT company and want to be a webroot reseller, we have several new clients that have existing subscriptions that we would like to take over, how do we go about doing that and becoming a reseller for other customers?

I've created a support case on this issue; however, I am currently in a trial of the GSM. I setup an email alert to my Gmail address for new end point installations. The first few came through, but were very slow. Now I'm not getting any. The last dozen or so have not triggered any email alerts. Yes, I've checked my Gmail Spam folder, not in there. Anyone else have issues with alerts and Gmail (or alerts in general)?
The mobile app is now asking me for my password on every screen and tells me my password is incorect( eventho i did not change it untill now). but will disappear when tapped outside of word box and allows me access to the app with out imputting anything. If also canthe back up and files to servers it fails everytime with solid connection WiFi and mobile data. I did just yesterday start using the secure Web browser. If have also saved all my logs for the last few days multiple times. Would like to know why this is happening thanks
For the third time I have had to uninstall and reinstall because the Execution History gets to big to load. Can you please put a limit on how much history is kept or provide a mehod to manually delete the history (the reset button does not work if the history is too big to load)?
Hi, We utilise webroot proxy for our business and roughly 15 pc's work through it. One person in the business spends their day searching the web for new retail clients we can supply too. However, when trying to access a good number of these websites they are blocked by webroot. This happens regularily and makes their job very difficult as to get each one unblocked requires a phone call to the IT support company we use, then a series of calls to get authorisation and a delay whilst webroot access updates. Our IT support company say that retail websites should be accessible but time and time again they are blocked. We have asked about reducing the security settings to enable more freedom and they said they cannot without loweringit for everybody else and endangering the whole office. This is making webroot really unpractical for us and wondered if you could provide a solution to present to them as they appear reluctant to offer us any options. Thanks.
Hello, Having a repeated issue with multiple machines where when trying to open our scanning software, Docstar, the computer locks up and won't free until we either manually end Webroot protection or reboot the pc. The issue happens daily on multiple computers for the last month, but not always at the same time. It seems to be revolved more around the amount of system uptime, meaning once the user reboots, everything fucntions as normal for about 6-7 hours then may crash again. As it is hard to recreate, we can't really get support to see it happening live. If it is happening live, the computer is 2 bogged down with the 2 applications fighting eachother, that we can't even get to a webpage to allow support to connect. We have added Overrides and Allow Applications for every 1 of the MD5s that I can find for Docstar and the problem still persists. Can anyone help ? Webroot support are unable to help ! I am trying to add a new user to my account on my web console to give them permissions to use the backup service - according to the user guide once a new user is added Webroot will send a confirmation email to the new user with a password but this didn't happen . Webroot support don't seem to understand the issue and cant solve the problem . Can anyone offer any advice ? Thanks Marc du Toit [ South Africa ]
I have yet to find a commonality, but random sites have been creating duplicate agent entries. I have found that a single machine could have anywhere from 1-3 duplicates, each checking in days or weeks behind the current/active agent; if that makes sense? Is there something we can do to resolve this issue? Thank you!
hello, i bought the endpoint for a client and set up the email and password / pin. i received no email to confirm and can not access the account. when i attempt to login to the account it says invalid of course because i did not confirm it yet. so how do i get this fixed. i want to get this installed monday and need to fix this. i also attempted to request a "forgot" password as well as pin and did not get those emails either. the email we used was different then the one i purchased it with because they do not want to use my email of course. so what can i do to resolve this issue? thank you very much
I have your Webroot Endpoint Anywhere Protection for business. Why do I keep receiving alert message computer that my computer is infected with adware/spyware and not to shop online line. I'm suppose to be protected. I was assured this was your highest level of protection. Please respond ASAP!!! Concerned! Gabriella
