Ok, I've followed all the instructions to download both apps to my iOS device, and I can log on successfully. But, when I open the homepage to my account, under "Mobile Devices", it shows "0" devices protected. Do I need to still do something for my mobile devices to show up? Thank you!
I have no problem signing in at my. webroot.... site. My problem is when I go to my bank's sign in page or any page that I sign in at Webroot asks me if I want to manage passwords for the site and of course I click on it. I am asked through a pop-up which has my email address already filled in then I am to put the password in. I do and it comes back as "Invalid Password. I try several times and even though I am already signed in with the same password I am being asked to fill in with it comes back every time as Invalid. Any Ideas folks? Thank You, Perry
The difference between a 'deep' scan and a 'full' scanKnowledge Base
Question
What's the technical difference between a deep scan and a full scan?
Answer

Deep scan:
This is the normal, default scan mode. Webroot SecureAnywhere (WSA) inspects system configuration information (registry and file locations, running processes, loaded modules, etc) to determine what is loaded into memory, and what definitely will or is likely to load into memory during normal computer use. These files are then initially scanned by generating an MD5 hash of the full file and submitting it to the cloud system. If the item is known as Good, this data is cached and no further action is taken. If the file is known as Bad, it is inspected more deeply, interdicted if currently in memory, and the cleanup engine is brought into play to start keeping track as the scan continues. If the file is reported as Unknown, it has further information gathered about it and submitted to t

Webroot SecureAnywhere Mobile found 1 threat today: Mobile tracker com.andriod.settings.mt It is however unable to remove it. Is there anyway to tell if this is a real threat or a false positive. If it is a threat how would I remove it without wiping the phone. Running Samsung Galaxy S2 Andriod 4.0.3. Thanks
Is it possible for webroot tech supoort to close my current account and then I could create a new account with a new e mail address and transfer my current Secure Anywhere Complete key to the new account? Reason I kind of would like to do this is because on my account page the Backup and Password icons are orange and say "Your keycode has now expired. To continue accessing Backups please renew your keycode now, or your data may be lost." This has happen because I had tech support change my current key from an international key one to a local USA key one. I relize its only a cozmedic glitch but it kind of bothers me :( lol
AT&T email and Dolphin Browser for tablets Ver 1.0 are leaving advertising apps on my homescreen. Is there a way that I can use Webroot to block this unwanted activity? I am concerned about collection of personal data since I have no idea how deep this intrusion goes, nor any idea of how to stop it.
Due to some crashing issue, I have done a factory reset on my P6200 tablet and reinstall all my applications. However, when I reinstalled Webroot Mobile Security, it prompted an error "Raw Error (URFM9988) Console creation has been exceeded". I unable to login to my account on my tablet console., I am stucked now. Please kindly assist the soonest. Many thanks.

Hi Folks I have two computers protected with WSA Essentials. In the My Account list they are both shown but one computer shows the results of the last scan, the other infers that the computer has never been scanned (which it has). Any ideas? Thanks John *edit for useful subject line - admin
I'm currently running trial version 220.127.116.11 and today had my download of OpenOffice 3.4 stopped (via Firefox download). It's something I've been having troubles with these last few days where downloads or page loading in Firefox is being reset, initially I pinned the blame on my generic router but I can see now in the threat log it was Webroot that caused this latest occurrence. Unfortunately repeated attempts to reproduce the issue are seeing the download continue just fine. My Threat Log reads : Automated Cleanup Engine Starting Cleanup at 22/06/2012 - 01:52:24 GMT Starting Routine> Removing c:users usticdogdownloadsapache_openoffice_incubating_3.4.0_win_x86_install_en-us.exe.part...#(PX5: 7BDC821BB0ADC4FAA05304EF10ECCF006E61FEC1 - MD5: 451CF77F5FAAE701D0D70B4BE172B75D)... Anybody experiencing this 'featurette'. Uncheck the 'Scan on boot up if computer....' option under the Scan Schedule tabs in Settings, and then check on it after a reboot or the following morning (when you would usually have rebooted if you switch your PC off overnight). Does anybody find that the option has somehow gotten itself rechecked, ie, it is ON again? Have just noticed this (but to be fair have had some issues with this option before & uninstalled completely and reinstalled to try to resolve it.) Be interested to see if this is happening to anyone. Am running latest build .193. Regards Balders
I have tried everything I can think of to get rid of this annoying virus or whatever it's referred to as, but scanning my system does no good. HELP!!!! I'm desperate. It hijacks my browser whenever it feels like it, but not everytime and it isn't contained to just IE or Chrome, it's whatever browser I use. Then it has these annoying pop up windows on every single page. I'm in school online and I'm about ready to throw my laptop in the pool. Short of reformatting my hard drive which I DO NOT want to do I'm not sure of the next step. Any suggestions!!!! Thanks in advance!!!!

Hello: It appears I am confused about the difference between a 'deep' scan and a 'full' scan. A comment by JimM in another thread is shown below. The online help is ambiguous. I was under the impression that if I chose 'deep' scan and pointed WRSA to a selected directory tree, it would grind through every file and archive and unpack/unroll archives of archives files to the end leaf. But it appears that I need to select 'full' scan in order to accomplish a thorough scan. TIA -- Roy Zider Quote by JimM in another thread: That is because a deep scan only scans potential threats. There are some files on your computer that can be ruled out as threats and are therefore left out of the scan by default. You could run a full scan if you want to scan every last file, but that isn't advised since you are already protected by running the intelligent deep scan and via protection through the shields, which operate in real-time.
Hi: There does not seem to be a "Help | About" link that presents the current version information to the user. How does one go about getting this information? (I've had to use Sysinternals Process Explorer to get it.) TIA -- Roy Zider WRSA.exe v18.104.22.168 Windows XP SP3
(1) I have an ISP that limits my monthly usage to 7.5 GB. What does WSA AV add to my usage per month, for my 3 PCs? (2) Excluding cloud-based file backup, what can I expect the upgrade versions to require per month? (3) If I upgrade to Complete, will adding my smartphone be like adding a 4th computer? (4) Am I correct in assuming that badwidth required to mainatin my phone apply against the phone's data plan? Thanks, TC
Like a fool I allowed a family member to use my PC against my better judgment this afternoon and now I'm regretting it as all hell has literally broken loose. Long story short I restarted my PC about an hour ago and when it loaded back into Windows (7 ultimate edition x64) it was instantly clear there was a problem. I won't go through all the details but I noticed Webroot wasn't running anymore and Windows was prompting me to turn it back on. When I went to do so instead of Webroot running I was presented with the Webroot installation window instead. I entered my key (Webroot Secure Anywhere) and I got the following message - "Webroot could not be installed. This could potentially be caused by malware on the computer. Would you like to try installing with a randomized filename?" The latter option doesn't work and as a result I cannot get Webroot running again. I've scanned the PC using Emsisoft Anti-malware which found three suspicious items and deleted them. All subs
