Why wasn't Webroot AV handling this too?

I've noticed that a few programs hang for a long time or indefiitely when the ofline shield is enabled, even though my computer is connected to the internet. It is undpredictable when this happens and I can release the hang by starting a Webroot scan, which seems to "kick" Webroot into action and cause to release its blockage on the program. I am running Webroot on Windows 7. Some examples of the affected programs are: 1) Using the rm program from Gnuwin32 to recursively delete the contents of a directory: rm -rf dir* 2) Lauching Microsoft Excel by typing the name of a .xls file into a command window The program doesn't occur if I disable the offline shield but I would prefer to run Webroot in "green" mode rather than "brown" mode. If I use Windows Process Explorer to analyse the blocked thread in case 1 above, I see the following stack trace: 0 ntdll.dll!KiFastSystemCallRet 1 kernel32.dll!GetBinaryType+0x23 2 rm.exe+0x116
Can anyone ( calling for expert advise ;) ) explain me why i have one hour difference between the time i see in the webconsole & the local time on my pc? See screenshot below Just now i went to nose around in the web console to try and figure out an answer to another post here in the community and i decided to submit a command . When i went to check the submitted commands i noticed there's exactly one hour time difference between the time seen in the console and my local time... I'm on UTC +1 and the summer/winter time setting in Windows 10 is activated. My computer's time is the actually correct time ( not the time seen in the console ). Most likely i'm doing something stupid so don't laugh too hard pls.
I use a product called Networx to monitor data usage on my data limited satellite system. I installed Webroot about 2 months ago and they have coexisted well. Now Webroot doesn't like Networx and has deleted some of its files, and most recently wouldn't let it start from the autostart area after a reboot. Networx has not updated itself (it always asks me) and there is no difference there, clearly Webroot is looking for something different now than it was before. When this sort of thing occurs, why do I not have an option to tell Webroot to watch this product but not start deleting stuff unless we talk about it first? I really dislike that behavior, since after 25 years of computing I do have some occasionally intelligent input to offer! Thanks, Gurn

When IE11 is opened on a Win 10, and possibly earlier OS versions) without Webroot started a gray icon appears to browser searches in both Google and Yahoo. Does anyone know causes those or even what they are called? The same icons appear when IE11 is opened with Sandboxie and may be causing many of my native IE11 web pages. Frequently, no webshield icons appear for non-add webpages. Especially on page 1 of the search results. I am often able to restore the icons by changing pages back and forth and using the Search icon. Often, when another page is selected, the icons show up on the page I'm exiting JUST before the switch to the next page. I'm guessing the settings causeing the "grey" icons may be interfering with the Webshield icons. Or, am I the only one in the world with this issue? Again.... :D
To fix the Firefox Webroot Filtering Extension Issue, the temporaray fix on the Webroot site states for me to "Remove existing instances of the extension" how do I do this? Update: the actual comment on the Webroot site is "Remove any existing versions of the Password Manager extension"

I am having a problem with Password Protection. I have an alert saying there are items that require my attention The message tels me Password Protection isTurned OFF and goes on to say Webroot needs my password. I select the Fix This Now button I enter my password on the pop-up screen. After a while the Verifying password... wheel stops turning and I get a new screen inviting me to activate Lost Device "Protection including the message "Activate Device Administration on the next screen" I select the Next button I then get a screen that sets out all the warings about what activating adminsitrator will allow ... I select activate and it takes me back to the start. There is no indication that there is an issue with the activation but obviously there is. I have a Galaxy S3 (GT-I9305) recently upgrated to 4.4.4 and version 18.104.22.16800 of Webroot (Definition set 1196). Can anyone help? Thanks

I am watching a video tutorial that I often have to pause to take notes. It is very slow to come back and it pauses just a second often. Also, at other times I have received scripting errors. All of this is while there is a yellow padlock on the green w circle in toolbar. Please tell me how I can get Webroot to allow what I need to do. I did some searching and it does not look like webroot is blocking anything as it says allow. This is a daily issue. Please help. Thank you!
I have gotten three alerts by Secure Anywhere that my look screen is in an unsafe state and all three times I've reset the lock. What can undo my lock screen? I did recently install an app lock but have not set it to lock my screen. Thankfully Webroot Secure Anywhere catches it, but it's troubling. Wearing my aluminum beany and waiting. Thanks.
We occasionally host SpiceCorps meetings at our Webroot office in Broomfield. We had Jamie from IT Works come and bring some printers with him to demo. He gave a great demo and brought a bunch of really cool printed examples as well as firing up his Lulzbot printer and printing us out a mini-SpiceRex. He also let us know that many libraries now have free 3D printers to use for patrons, so it's a good way to get started if you want to tinker. I had no idea that Lulzbot was a Colorado company, about an hour north of Webroot. They apparently do factory tours every Friday, where you can see them use their own 3D printers to make the parts for the new ones. Here are some of the photos I took: [img]https://d1q
