Web browser is taking too long, how do I fix it?Knowledge Base

This information has been verified as accurate on March 23rd, 2020, by APruneau. There are many symptoms that may happen within your internet browser that could possibly point to an infection. The browser slows or freezes suddenly. You are redirected to sites you did not chose to go to. The home page changes. The browser reports an error. These do not always mean an infection. These could be caused by add-ons on your computer. To rule out add-ons as the cause, follow the instructions for your browser to disable ones you are not using. Internet Explorer Open Internet Explorer. Click Tools (or the gear icon), then Manage Add-ons. In the list of add-ons that appear, select the ones you do not use, and click Disable. Mozilla Firefox: Open Firefox. Click Tools, then Add-Ons. Turn off the extensions you do not use by clicking the toggle. When the toggle is grey the extension is disabled. Google Chrome: Open Chrome. When you open Internet Explorer or another browser, you may get a page loading that says "About:blank" in the address bar. This is not a virus. This is a filler page for when there is no home page set in the browser. To set your home page in Internet Explorer, click on [b]Tools[/b] > [b]Internet Options[/b]. A run.dll error occurs when a program tries to reference or call a .dll that is missing or corrupt. If you have had an infection removed from your computer recently, this could be the cause of the error message. Hi All, i have one customer having pfsense firewall and the customer limiting the internet access from all end-users, with webroot require to allow wildcard addresses on the firewall but unfortunately pfsense not supporting wildcard domain is there any solution to allow the client work with webroot ?   looking for your support

Mac High Sierra - Webroot icon disappeared.

It was running normally yesterday, then I turned off computer. This morning, when turning on my Mac, I could see Webroot started (it's also showing in Activities Monitor), but the icon on the top tray disappeared. I tried to run Webroot manually, nothing appears on my screen.   GSM is not available either: We are currently hard at work improving Webroot SecureAnywhere, which unfortunately means the SecureAnywhere website is temporarily unavailable. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but promise the site will be back up very soon and running better than ever! Thank you for your patience.   Something changed in Webroot, and it affects to my installation?

Problems with Secure Web Browser After upgrading to new phone

I had Mobile Security and Mobile Web Browser on my Galaxy S6. I recently upgraded to a G9+ and Mobile Security works fine (shows my keycode, etc) but the Mobile Web Browser Menu is barely readable and won't let me log in. Please help

Quarantined items not permanently deleted

I have several items in the quarantined area that I've tried to delete permanently but every time I check them all and click delete they pop right back up on the list. Any help would be appreciated.

Feature request - PC Security Portal

I'd like to have an option on the "PC Security" portal to list anything on the "about page" on the default page, like a spreadsheet, so that I can see the date that the "last scan" was performed, when the computer was "Last Infected", the "license duration", or the "security setting".  It should be admin selectable, so that only the "about" information that you want is displayed.   I currently manage 10 PCs/clients, and I have to click on each of the 10 to review information on the about page.  It is a waste of time.

Anyone Know What's Going on With this C:Program file?

So I guess we've seen this file before right? Best theory I got so far was perhaps an update rollout is doing a reinstall which might cause it, since it does seem to happen on install. I'm just trying to decide how concerned I should or should not be.   Thanks,

Last seen incorrectly?

I am using my Mac everyday, but from GSM, Endpoint shows that the last seen of my computer was 2 days ago. Of course, Webroot is running and activated "green" on my computer. It was scanning yesterday too.   But it looks like that the activities were not connected to GSM. Any error in GSM? Or something else?
