Here is the issue. I do not need the Web Threat Shield but I also do not want to disable it becuase that means I continuesly receive a message that I do not have full protection. If I were to leave Web Threat Shield toggle active but untick it's 4 functions, would that basically be the same as disabling it fully? If not, can you please tell me which parts of Web Threat Shield are active even after disabling it's 4 features in the change settings. Thank you :)
I purchased webroot secureanywhere complete. I downloaded the Webroot SecureAnywhere Mobile Complete app for my android. I have entered my email address, password and keycode associated with my laptop subscription. I continually receive an error that says this "Your user credentials are not associated with this SecureAnywhere Complete keycode. Make sure you've created this user on my.webrootanywhere.com and try again." The keycode I entered IS associated with the email address and password i entered. The keycode i entered is the exact keycode shown in my "manage keycodes" section of my online account. Why isn't it recognizing it? Droid Bionic 3.2

Hi, i have a few questions before buying webroot, maybe someone can help me out?

Network shares/mapped drive Personally i have almost all my personal data stored on network shares. If i try to run a manual scan on these shares, the scan stars and almost immediately stops. The logfile states that nothing was scanned. If I right click scan a folder, some files get scanned, but not all and it doesn't seem webroot is diving deeper into sub-directories. Can anyone clarify, what the expected behavior is?
Firewall Unlike other products, webroot doesn't seem to integrate with the windows firewall, which is perfectly fine for me. Does the webroot firewall take precedence over the windows firewall or will the rules in the windows firewall match first?
Reporting This is more like a feature request. Are you planning on improving the reporting interface and logfiles of previous scans? The report interface is very tiny on i.e.. 2560x1440 with the fixed sized
I have been trying to log in to Password Management on the SecureWeb app for iOS devices. However every time I try, it tells me it ws unable to log me in. I make sure my email and password are correct (no missed characters, accidental capitalization, etc.) and still it won't log me in. Yet I can still log in to SecureAnywhere on my computer, so what's going on?
Thx Jim for your very educational post ;) I went through all the files you have listed and found them all in my Vista setup. In fact I found more :D in the directory C:WindowsSystem32drivers Please see in the picture below (in the red rectangles). There is a lot of WSA remnant sys files. They are not all displayed. I made just an example. They are all over across the directory. Hovering over them gives WSA build number, so I noticed they indeed belong to the old WSA builds. I should add that I never was forced to use the randomize installation. The clean uninstall of WSA + cleaning temps, registry etc. using CCleaner doesn't remove them. So can you provide a tool which would be capable to remove them? Something like Norton has its removal tool. If not I would have to go the file by file to check if it is really WSA remnant or not. Unfortunately as you can see the files are named very oddly so it
More than 55,000 new malicious software programs are registered each day by AV-Test an independent antivirus (AV) research institue. Any one of these can have a mild to devastating impact on the organization, randing from wasted IT staff hours to damages to consumer confidence or losses of dollars in the instance of a regulatory violation. In fact, the average organization experiences a malware attack every 73 days, Osterman Research found in a 2011 study, in which 44% of participants said that a single malware attack had cost them as much as $10,000, while another 27% reported financial impacts as high as $50,000. Too few IT decision-makers address malware threats adequately, chalking up security breaches as a cost of doing business, the researchers noted, adding, "The costs [of malware] are typically higher than many organizations realize, but with the right knowledge and technologies, it is possible to reduce the impacts of malware." Canalys Research has likew
When I open the Protected Applications (Open WSAE > Identity & Privacy > Protected Applications Advanced) I list the following: IE - Protected FF- Protected WOT - Allow (Had to change to allow after installing WOT because after installing WOT WSA sets it to Deny) The following entry has me puzzled: a0079894.exe C:System Volume Information_Restore ( lot of numbers & letters) - Set to Deny Why do I have Restore in this setting or why did it appear? Can I delete this entry without having problems?
With the Webroot Secure call blocker, the phone rings ONCE and THEN the call gets blocked. However, with my previous app (Easy Filter Call and SMS Blocker by Moonbeam), the phone does NOT ring at all. When will this be fixed? -------- (Latest update of Android on Xperia Pro)
Is there a Webroot secureanywhere removal tool? I seem to have a broken install. I was messing with deployment tools testing the msi deployment. Webroot secureanywhere is running, I see the icon and can open it. It's not showing up in the console online though. I tried using the msi /x option to remove it but it tells me that it's only valid for products that are currently installed.
I am a new customer to webroot. So far I love the speed at which the product works. The one item I do have question is concerning the status of devices located on the my.webrootanywhere.com status page. The page shows 1 pc protected with 0 infected and 0 infected in the last 24 hours. Under mobile security it shows 0 devices protected 0 devices needing attention and 0 devices infected. That is my problem. I downloaded and installed the two iOS apps per instructions and video. I can log into both items and the indication is as mentioned in the video. The key thingy turning green etc...... but as I use the device the website still says 0 devices protected. What I am doing in error or what have I missed? Thanks,
Running SecureAnywhere Mobile Premier on Droid 2. Last few days, when I begin a scan, it does fine until it gets to the SD card - then it just ist there and does nothing - except drain the battery! Just let it run overnight - same thing - it didn't move. Would reinstall fix or is there a better solution?
Yesterday Adobe have issued a regular quarterly update to its Reader application (10.1.3). I couldn't get successfully through the update process. The update was always aborted saying that some files cannot be accessed or something like this. I tried it repeatedly but always ended with cannot write to some files prompt. In the last attempt I tried to shut down WSA and ... the update process went successfully. So my conclusion is that some of the shields of WSA was blocking the update process. Just to let you know in case anyone encounter the same troubles with Adobe Reader update. P.S. I should add that all my settings (including heuristics) are default except Protected websites which are both (HTTP and HTTPS) set to maximum.
I'm an android dev, so my phone is virtually always configured to allow installation from unknown sources, with USB debugging on. which means that my security console always considers me 'insecure' and 'needs attention'. it would be really nice if one could select each of those alerts and set them to 'ignore'.
I've had the misfortune of running into this guy. He's found a way to bypass security on android phones. Here's what happened with me. I recently went to on a "free" offer of a ringtone. I entered my phone number to get the ringtone and noticed a subscription notification in the terms & conditions below and stopped. I left the page without completing the transaction. Since I had typed out my number he has a script that recorded it running on that page. since then he has passed my number out to his so called affiliates and have been getting webpage link notifications sent directly to my phone saying I won this, I won that.. and links to apps that I'm assuming he's written with code to do the same as I've described above. and since it's not sms messages I can't block hom. so webroot DO YOUR THING! I'm sure you guys can come up with something to block this guy. if you need more info, feel free to contact me.
The latest update keeps crashing on my Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc s by not auto scanning when i download any apps restart the phone works for a while then crashes again uninstall re-install works for while and crashes again some help with this i'm awaiting for some help on this issue anybody.
I set up my account but all I see is a page that says "You are logged out" and a link that says "Return to Home". I did some searching and apparently I'm supposed to verify my email but I never recieved an email and I see no obvious way to resend an activation email. What can I do?
Hai, I checked my windows fireawll settings and it was turned on, does webroot secure anywhere complete use it's own firewall? Or is it using windows firewall? I just don't want to have 2 firewalls running if it's not needed, I'd like to think for the price webroot uses it's own firewall. Thank you :)
:8 Hi I have a Toshiba Lap Top SatelliteL755, it has a LAP TOP CHECK UP program that insits on the Norton security center that tells me that I have no security on my system when I have full blown webroot protecting my system perfectly. I just wondered had any one else noticed that Norton uses all kinds of scaretactics to scare people into useing thier problem ridden products as well. I used Norton on one Lap top as it was a part ofthe Package Deal( whatever) and all it seemd to do was try to initiate fear. That I only had 363 days left and needed to resubscribe before it istoo late. I happily removed Norton and put the Webroot right in after that .I bought webroot because I know it is good and theree are not any games being played. I just see Norton as a scaming coniveing bunch that greed is thier cause. That seems teroristic to me and very decietfull. Is there a way to shut them down or at least hold them responsible as actually being malware? I also think that it reflects porrly on t
