After rebooting my computer it shows" Webroot SecureAnywhere is turned off and I have no Malware protection. When I click on Turn On Now. Nothing. Just asked me if I trust it to run. I click I do and Nothing Help Mickey
I just enabled a feature of our email service that tells me when incoming emails were not sent via TLS. It is telling me that Infection Alert messages from firstname.lastname@example.org are not utilizing TLS. This is probably minor, but it could constitute a security risk in some cases.
I called my bank and they told me to contact my internet provider to have the remote access removed because this person can still access my computer whether it is on or not. My bank gave me a temporary password to reset my password after I got the remote access removed and then I would not be liable if something happened to my bank accounts. I call ATT and for only $15 a month they cover up to four computers including optimizing, removing remote access, virus check, printers, iphones, tuning up the computer and a lot more! I can call anytime. It took about one hour with ATT and they restored and fixed my registry, remove emptied files, removed one virus threat, and a lot more! I was surprised about the one virus! I now have a ATT toolbox on my destop at my disposal. The reason I say all of this is because if you are getting a lot of tickets on this then please let the people know that they need to do what I did for peace of mind. If ATT couldn't do it then I was going to have to ta

I saw an interview on Fox news about haw practically all flashlight programs contain malware. They also said you needed to do a factory reset to clear out the RATs. (Remote access trojans) The following is a link to the report. http://www.snoopwall.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/Flashlight-Spyware-Report-2014.pdf Any thoughts, experiences? Does Webroot protect against this?
I checked on this with one of support folks and it looks like they are actively investigating what is causing this. If you are still getting the message, please contact support so that we can get a copy of your logs.
I started out on your first product Window Washer. It was great. Thats what led me to this, since Window Washer was not avilable. This product does not clean the way WW did. Also no manual update link for "Live Updates", I cant tell when there has been an update, not really any way to tell that I can find. At this poit, I have not seen anything that this product does better, than the cleaner product I have (Which cleans more), and The full Norton product I have (Norton Internet Security). Im not impressed at all. Unless there is something I missed, --- please let me know, otherwise I assume this was a waste, and you wont see me repeat renewing. Love the Window Washer, excellent product, shame you didnt keep it. Gerry Slobe (edited for privacy reasons)

VERY HAPPY / Just renewed it for 2 more years ...a few hours ago. Got my Lenovo laptop (my first laptop) a year ago. / Came with 1 year of WEBROOT PLUS. First off, it preformed flawlessly........yet ya barely notice it is there. I'm not unskilled, but far from a "Computer WIZARD" .............the setup is easy to use. It obviously covered all aspects of security better than every other anti-virus I previously used. Not one glitch if a full year. OK, so safe bet........Happy camper with WEBROOT performance! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- But add to that....this community forum has been a HUGE BONUS. I've only posted a couple of times with questions, even though had MANY QUESTIONS. I didn't need to post them because others already have and were answered well in threads. People a
The EFF and the Entertainment Software Alliance are going head-to-head over the need to preserve functionality in abandoned games. The EFF wants an exemption to the DMCA to keep games alive after its servers are closed down, but the ESA and its allies the MPAA and RIAA are vigorously opposing the digital rights group. While video gaming used to be a strictly offline affair, in the current market many titles require continued access to custom online resources in order to function. I run all of my browsers behind Sandboxie Sandbox version 4 on a 64bit Windows 8 (soon to be 8.1) system. I know that the malware detection of SecureAnywhere doesn't work in the sandboxed envrioment since I can visit infected pages and let the malware download and execute in the sandbox without a peep from SecureAnywhere (everything is set to MAX in SA heuristic wise). I am too chicken poop to test the malware without the sandbox so I am not 100% certain that it will be detected without the sandbox (I do send them all to webroot). So now the question is: After seeing the stellar MRG results for BankTrojans and prevent screen capture I was wondering if the screen capture prevention also works when the browsers are sandboxed? If not then what can be done/allowed within the sandbox to make things work? I love using my sandbox, I feel soo much safer with it on then without so I would love to combine the best of both worlds...Sandboxed browser and anti-screen capture of SA. &nb
