Cookies are designed to provide a service that many internet users find beneficial by delivering directly to you specific information based on your preferences. The latest browsers enable you to easily manage your own cookie settings. Browsers have cookie protections built in, and you can delete or even block cookies altogether, if you’re concerned about tracking. Each browser has slightly different instructions on how to set these configurations. To find out more, we recommend consulting the Help documentation available for each of your browsers. For too long, the security industry – including Webroot – has expected our customers to manage security products for themselves. Quarantining relati
Hi all, I am new to webroot and seen it being used by a mate and was very impressed by its low memory usage and general not intruding in the use of the machine. So when my Norton Internet Security needed to be renewed I installed a trial and was instantly sold with Webroot Secure Anywhere, so I bought a copy of the complete from amazon and put in the product key before the trial had ended. As I wasn't really that worried about loosing a few days but now My Account Information says: Trial Active and 365 days shouldn't it just say active?
I noticed in the forums that there are three version of Webroot Secure Anywhere:

Essentals
Antivirus
Complete
But when I go into the program, I can't tell which version I am running. Is there any particular place in the program where I can find this information out?
I uninstalled SecureAnywhere AntiVirus, rebooted, re-installed SecureAnywhere AntiVirus (wsainstall.exe) , and re-booted again. During the install there was an option to put it SecureAnywhere in my Start Menu. The only thing in my Start Menu related to SecureAnywhere is an option to un-install it. In C:Program FilesWebroot the only file there is WRSA.exe (641 KB). Clicking on it does NOT open the application. How do I get it to open so I can check the various settings? I know when I had the program on my PC earlier today, I could open it. But if I could open it before, why can't I open it now? Keycode did not change. By the way, I uninstalled SecureAnywhere because Carbonite suddenly stoped backing up files right after I originally installed SecureAnywhere. Carbonite did not start to work after I removed SecureAnywhere either, so maybe Carbonite has other problems.
I have noticed after updating WSA by downloading Version 22.214.171.124 over Version .95 that my WOT (Web of Trust) rating symbols next to the links when searching with IE 8 were missing. After looking at the "Protected Applications" in WSA the setting has changed from "Allow" to "Deny". I changed the setting back to "Allow" and the rating symbols appear. This was the only setting that changed. Is there a reason for this being the only setting changing after updating?
As there is a new update, I have been going around to my various machines in order to update them to the latest version. None of them are set to update automatically, which gives me a chance to evaluate a new versions stability prior to subjecting my 10 workstations to it. On two of them, it shows the update as being available but gives me an error when trying to download it. Something like “Webroot Cannot Be Updated At This Time”. I don’t know if it’s a server thing or if it’s on my end and wonder if anyone is experiencing this. Also interesting is that I downloaded the update and tried to install it on top of the current version and it would not install that way, making me believe the update is trying to contact something on the cloud and cannot.
I'm new. I instaled the Webroot, performed a full scan. Ok. Then I went on https://mobile.webroot.com/info to see the other features. I tried the "locate my device" feature on "Lost Device Protection" tab 3 times, but it couldn't find it. Although it could find it for the "Scream" feature. Why?
User guide for Webroot Mobile was available on the old mobile forum. Unfortunately you have closed this forum in favour of Community Forums, OK why not. However user guide for mobile version is missing there. Under section user guides there are listed all your products except for mobile version. Therefore could you access the mobile version user guide again?
Testing SecureAnywhere on a HTC Sensation under Android 4.0. Following issues/questions: 1) Commands sent via web interface listed for everyone to see in notifications area. Any way to hide them? 2) Scream function is not working, might be OS/device specific? 3) While Lost Device Protection is turned on and i.e. Locate my device working fine, phone is still listed as "in need of attention", and how to fix icon reveals nothing. Just a question and I think I know the answer...my wife and both sons (college age) have internet security programs that are about to expire. I am considering WSA Complete...they basically need "set up and forget protection". They all have MBAM-Pro (real time) and I would think that combination would be enough. The wife does some banking on line, not a lot. Since I have only been using WSA Complete 2 days, and like what I see, just considering the move. Thanks in advance for any input.
Webroot continues to be a double-edged sword for me. I've always had great difficulty navigating and finding things, and have a difficult time distinguishing the different opening pages. There should always be an easy way to (1) assess my own account and (2) gain access to help and support from webroot.com. My most recent example is that I lost Webroot on my other pc due to a computer problem and have to reinstall. I go to webroot.com, then mywebroot, and enter my email address and password. I'm now on the Secureanywhere page on that computer with four boxes - PC Security, Mobile Security, Backups, and Passwords. Nowhere on the site is there a link to help and support, or a place to find "community," or to gain access to all the Webroot tools and options I managed to find a link to reinstalling on another computer and thought I reinstalled webroot but it added the webroot as an additional pc rather than reinstalling. This was on Internet Explorer and now I want to
I have tried a couple of times clicking on the "Update software" button on the WSAC and have gotten the same message both times. The message was, "You are using the newest version of Webroot and this version no longer needs to update virus definitions. Threat protection is now performed "in the cloud" and is always up-to-date." So, that being said, why is there an "update software" button? (I know. Dumb question. Right?)
I read in annother posting on the community site that someone had found an issue with the shutdown procedure on pcs after installing webroot. I, too, have that "issue", but although it is a bit of an annoyance sometimes, it is not really an issue for me. I was, however, wondering if there has been any "resolution", or "fix" as it were, to this issue. If so, it would be nice to know. If not, again, it is not anything with which I am overly concerned. Merely curious.
Going to port this over from Wilder's Security Forum perhaps Webroot Can help.. http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=309292 When I try to run a search from yahoo or bing no results are being displayed at all. I use webroot complete today my compute basically froze, I had to hit the power button to shut it down. On restart it would not show desktop but the webroot pop up showed up saying im secure. I went into safe mode trying to figure out what was wrong and after trying many things I decided to uninstall wbroot and see. After I uninstalled restarted computer and it startted right up don't know if it was a bug or a glitch but I have reinstalled complete again and I am hoping it doesn't happen again.I am using windows 7 64 bit webroot secureanywhere complete and malwarebytes free. I ran a webroot scan, malwarebytes full scan, and a hitmanpro on demand scan all came up clean.
Hello, I'm a little confused about whether synched files are securely backed up. Since all synched files are altered when a change is made, does that mean if a file is deleted, even if by mistake, it will be deleted on synched computers and online? Or if a computer breaks down and has to be reformatted, are the synched files online removed as well. I assume synched files are protected even if not on the Web archive as this would defeat the value of synching, but I've not been able to find this topic on Webroot documentation. Thanks.
