Hi,I was wondering if there was a way to manage individual access control settings via policies. I’m aware that the gui can be locked completely as well as removing the tray icon, but I’m looking for a more focused approach. The specific setting I want to manage and prevent changes to is in the screenshot below:Is there a way to disable this one option from the web console and prevent end users from changing it?
Hi there, I’m not seeing this in the documentation, but figured I’d ask here just in case I missed something. We would like to be able to send SAT reports directly to our partner point of contact after a phishing/training campaign ends. As far as I can tell this is not possible if we are using the centrally managed portal or Autopilot.Right now all I can do is have them delivered to me in an email. Just had a meeting this week with our account management team, and this is a big source of frustration for them. The phishing and training modules are fantastic, we are just looking for a better way to communicate results with our partners. Thanks!
I have a user having issues and the only thing that changed was installing webroot. I want to disable the agent remotely to see if the users notices a difference. I created a test policy that allows the agent to be shutdown. Is there a way I can run a terminal command to shutdown the agent?
Hi all, wondering if an ‘open’ in SAT is an actual open if the client is using Outlook’s preview pane. Research shows some say yes, some say only if images are allowed, some say no, one says to ignore it because only clicked links should count. But specifically within Webroot’s Security Awareness Training, if a client is using Outlook, does ‘open’ in a campaign include people who see it in preview pane only? ThanksFranco
I noticed that when playing Deathloop (via Steam), the CPU usage of webroot goes up to 25% and fluctuates between that number and 10% constantly.I tried adding the deathloop.exe to the ignore file in the PC security options, but it doesn’t let me (It’s almost ½ gig in size).Any solutions?Thanks.
I’ve tried again and again to remove the Web Threat Shield after uninstalling Webroot. I cannot get the extenion to shut off or uninstall. I cannot even delete the files as they are locked by the system. This is my home computer, and I can’t remove this! How can you make software that is this invasive that I can’t remove it?!
I am running Carbonite Safe CE 22.3 on a MacBook Pro M1 Max, running macOS Monterey Version 12.4 (21F79). About once a week, I am asked to grant it Full Disk Access permission. Except that it already has it. I see that Webroot Secure Anywhere went through this about two years ago in other threads. But I do not see a solution. Any ideas? Just to prove the point, here is a screen shot:
Hello All,So, received VERY troubling news from Webroot Support and I could really use some guidance here. For the past 8 or 9 years I’ve been a webroot customer. The very first time I renewed I added a new keycode to my account, only find out that I lost all remaing days, and had to start all over setting up Backup. Come to find out that Webroot doesn’t work like most software and that I had actually replaced my account, not renewed it. So, every year since then I have purchased a new keycode and then asked support to add the time to my account, thus avoiding any hassles or lost days.Well, Webroot has informed that they won’t do that anymore…From Support… Unfortunately, we are unable to combine subscriptions in this manner. We would be able to do the reverse, however, and add the remaining days from your existing subscription.This should not cause any issues as far as your LastPass subscription goes, as you will just need to add the new keycode to your Carbonite + Webroot management
Loving to use Winget (sorry, no Wingate) for all software installed upgrade, I found for my surprise that it detected Webroot installed under Webroot SecureAnywhere (Installed Webroot Endpoint Protection v126.96.36.199)And it says (as you can see) ‘Successfully Installed’, but Webroot Console online says nothing change. Soo… I don’t know what’s going on.Hope they fix it in the near future, since there is no easy way from WEBROOT to update antivirus, not even force to update, not even in the console.. the only antivirus at any level (personal or enterprise edition) that I know for decades that doesn’t help you to update their product in any easy way. Go figure.
Hello, I just renewed my membership and it seems that it will not scan my MacBook Pro. I go to a college that uses examplify and am wondering if anyone knows if that software has ruined my scanning on my webroot security. I have not had this issue until my school had changed to this test taking software. It always wants me ti disable my virus protection and I always say no. So I am wondering if the examplify software has messed it up without my permisson. I also would like to know how to fix this porblem with my webroot so it will scan. I go into the app/ file whatever you would like to call it to go ahead and run a scan on my computer, everythin works normally until i click scan my computer and it will run for about 3 seconds and then say scan cancelled. What can i do to fix this.
I downloaded the webroot app on my Google Pixel 4a(5G) running Andoird 13 I go to create an account but it wants a keycode to create an account. How do I get a keycode before creating an account. Typically software works like this… Create account → Purchase Product → Get keycode → Enter keycode → Activate product. This app is asking me for what normally happens in step four but wants it in step one before I even have an account. Where do I get this keycode to create an account? There are no instructions in the app.
I have had a Webroot account for years, and I can no longer find my password. I have just purchased new computers and want to add them to my account and delete old computers. Plus, I suspect I may have multiple accounts linked to an old email address that we no longer use. How can I find out?
