Kindle fire setting device administrator
Good afternoon, I just installed Webroot on my Kindle Fire HD 8.9. As part of the set up I wanted to set up the password and set WR as a device administrator. The webroot set up keeps telling me the device administrator is in an unsafe status. When I click on the fix button it takes me back to set up screen and I end up going into the loop seeing the same thing. When I go to the kindles settings page it will not let me select Webroot as an administrator, it shows up under the administrator section but is not selected. Any idea how to fix this so I can lock down the system with a password? Thanks
What is the Web Console and how do I find it?
OK first - my Webroot installation was set up by Geek Squad, and I am not very tech savvy. I renewed my Webroot subscription last week, and I had thought I set up the scans to be done at 2am daily. And in fact, that is what it shows in the settings that I can access from the application in the Start Menu - however, it also says that the last scan was done a week ago! So, I looked at the settings this morning and saw that I have a box that says not to do the scans when I have an application up, so I unclick the box and try to save. It then tells me that those settings are really contolled in the "Web Console" and that my settings may not take effect. Where the heck is the "web console" and how do I access it??
Android phone: threat: Device Management com.mediatek.dm---unsuccessfull app removal. next step?
I need assistance. I've been running Webroot on my android phone for over a year and have never received a threat notification until today. Antivirus scan detects: Application Threat - Device Management - com.mediatek.dm. When I click on Webroot to remove this app, Webroot responds with: UNSUCCESSFULL. Metro PCS is my mobil phone carrier. In the past couple weeks, MetroPCS updated their system app to include an update with Data Maximizer. This app update is supposed to manage my music & video data transmission more efficiently to keep my 4G usage lower. When I go into my phone's application menu and locate the app for Device Management com.mediatek.dm, I have clicked on STOP; I'm not offered the choice to DISABLE. The Webroot scan continues to show the High Risk threat, when I run removal, it continues to respond: Unsuccessfull. Webroot states that the threat is Trojan. Perhaps, Webrrot is observing the MetroPCs performing Data Maximizer

I've looked into the list of installed programs, and webroot is nowhere to be found, therefore there's nothing to uninstall. Can't install Webroot
Hi, We've received a new 2017 Macbook (no touchbar) with Sierra installed. For some reason we can't get Webroot installed on it. At first when we run the .dmg, it would open, activate and before it would run the automatic scan, it shuts down. No icon in the taskbar at the top is showing. Can't open the program itself. Only the service is running in the Activity panel. We can only remove the incomplete installation via Safe mode. Tried to drag and drop the app into the Application folder and start the app, but that also doesn't work. Enabled the Root user and tried to install it, but that gave us the same scenario as above. Latest version of Webroot has been downloaded.
Can't uninstall Webroot (WRSVC gives access denied)
Today, Webroot CPU usage and memory spiked to 75 and 90 percent making my PC unusable. I rebooted and it got worse. I can only have 1 tab open in my browser at a time now or 1 app open. I tried everything to get rid of it and it’s only taking up more CPU and memory. Please help. Things I’ve tried:Uninstalling via Control Panel : this launches the uninstaller, but doesn't actually do anything.Running "C:\Program Files (x86)\Webroot\WRSA.exe" –uninstall: Same behavior as above.Running "C:\Program Files (x86)\Webroot\WRSA.exe" –uninstall in safe mode: This actually launched the install process asking for a valid key?Deleting "C:\Program Files (x86)\Webroot\" : says WRSA.exe is in use so it won't delete. Tried this in Safe Mode also.Killing WRSA.exe with Process Explorer AS ADMIN: access denied error.Terminating WRSA.exe with Process HackerRunning a Webroot uninstall script
High CPU usage on Windows 10
My boyfriend is having issues with Webroot taking up too much CPU usage while running a scan. Hes had problems ever since he upgraded to Windows 10 from 7 on his HP laptop. This screenshot is him running a scan. Hes been complaining of poor computer preformance and notes that it only happens when he has webroot running and it happens a lot while webroot is idle and not scanning. This what it looks like after he stopped a scan. He has to stop webroot from running at all to get any kind of computer preformance back. Now me on the other hand, I still have not upgraded and I am using Windows 7 with no issues.
