I had to reset my computer to the factory settings and so lost my Webroot Secure Anywhere. I need to know how to download it again.
Hi, I'm trying to install webroot, when I double click the installer, nothing happens. I've looked into the list of installed programs, and webroot is nowhere to be found, therefore there's nothing to uninstall. I've tried the installer 9.0.19.43 downloaded from other threads and had no luck. My operating system is Windows 10. Thank you
How do I change or remove the finger-swipe code (9-point map) I have to enter to open my phone screen each time? When I installed SecureAnywhere on my Moto X, it gave me the option of setting up a swipe pattern on a 9-point map, which I did. Now I want to change the pattern or just skip it altogether, but I can't find that option in settings.
Hi guys, I am looking for resources on making exclusions for files, extensions, and folder paths please. We are implementing Global Shop Solutions here at work and they are requesting some exclusions/whitelisting. Thanks!
OK first - my Webroot installation was set up by Geek Squad, and I am not very tech savvy. I renewed my Webroot subscription last week, and I had thought I set up the scans to be done at 2am daily. And in fact, that is what it shows in the settings that I can access from the application in the Start Menu - however, it also says that the last scan was done a week ago! So, I looked at the settings this morning and saw that I have a box that says not to do the scans when I have an application up, so I unclick the box and try to save. It then tells me that those settings are really contolled in the "Web Console" and that my settings may not take effect. Where the heck is the "web console" and how do I access it??
i will be romoving webroot from my computer. an un controled pop up is not acceptable
I need assistance. I've been running Webroot on my android phone for over a year and have never received a threat notification until today. Antivirus scan detects: Application Threat - Device Management - com.mediatek.dm. When I click on Webroot to remove this app, Webroot responds with: UNSUCCESSFULL. Metro PCS is my mobil phone carrier. In the past couple weeks, MetroPCS updated their system app to include an update with Data Maximizer. This app update is supposed to manage my music & video data transmission more efficiently to keep my 4G usage lower. When I go into my phone's application menu and locate the app for Device Management com.mediatek.dm, I have clicked on STOP; I'm not offered the choice to DISABLE. The Webroot scan continues to show the High Risk threat, when I run removal, it continues to respond: Unsuccessfull. Webroot states that the threat is Trojan. Perhaps, Webrrot is observing the MetroPCs performing Data Maximizer
The Webroot Filtering Extension is slowing my computer way down. To the point where things time out before loading. How do I disable, uninstall the filtering extension?
Just wondering on this if it is possible with Webroot Secure Anywhere to continue using Win 7 safely or reasonably safely beyond the Microsoft support expiration date. Thanks Dave
What is the security code?
I am having a problem installing web root on my iPad. I have downloaded the app and done but it told me to do but cannot find anywhere to add the device for protection. Is there anyone out there that knows how this can be done as the geek squad has been no help to me at all.
I've been trying to unsubscribe but there is no customer service to assist you. How do I go about it?
can't seem to find out how to set the default browser, keeps trying to use explorer then errors out also, is it possible to whitelist a program like quickbooks so it doesn't cause issues?
Hi, We've received a new 2017 Macbook (no touchbar) with Sierra installed. For some reason we can't get Webroot installed on it. At first when we run the .dmg, it would open, activate and before it would run the automatic scan, it shuts down. No icon in the taskbar at the top is showing. Can't open the program itself. Only the service is running in the Activity panel. We can only remove the incomplete installation via Safe mode. Tried to drag and drop the app into the Application folder and start the app, but that also doesn't work. Enabled the Root user and tried to install it, but that gave us the same scenario as above. Latest version of Webroot has been downloaded.
My boyfriend is having issues with Webroot taking up too much CPU usage while running a scan. Hes had problems ever since he upgraded to Windows 10 from 7 on his HP laptop. This screenshot is him running a scan. Hes been complaining of poor computer preformance and notes that it only happens when he has webroot running and it happens a lot while webroot is idle and not scanning. This what it looks like after he stopped a scan. He has to stop webroot from running at all to get any kind of computer preformance back. Now me on the other hand, I still have not upgraded and I am using Windows 7 with no issues. This is what Webroot looks for me while idle, alwa
I'm sorry. I just purchased a Kindle Fire 9th Generation and trying to get the FREE Webroot SecureAnywhere App. The problem is that it isn't listed in the app section after a search - only the $15 one is listed although I see "2 results" after the search under Apps & Games but just the $15 appears.. I read as many articles about this in the community and would please like some easy to follow guidance for a dummy like me. Thanks,
how do i reinstall webrot?
The cloud backup system that I use will not install it's updates because webroot is interferring. I've disabled everything, but it's still not installing. Is there a simple way to disable everything temporarily?
My current subscription is about to expire, so I purchased a new copy. How do I apply (or add) the days on the new keycode to the existing one? I also want to do so without losing the 20 days I still have left on the existing subscription. Thanks
a webroot warning poped up on coogle chrome. I x'ed out of the program. The webroot warning is still there blocking use of google chrome. Have signed out and restarted computer. Please advise or remove block.
I rarely “sign-in” to my.webrootanywhere.com, but attempted to do so today, after renewing my subscription. When entering my username/email and password, I am then asked to enter an “Authentication Code”. I cannot locate an “Authentication Code” anywhere. I have a “security code”, a “product keycode”, but I do not recall ever having an “Authentication Code”. As far as I recall, I never set up 2-factor-authentication (and if I did, I do not receive an email or text with a code after entering my username and password). Please advise as to how I might resolve this issue. Thank you.
