So many issues! Buttons in the desktop dashboard panel stops working randomly, namely the 'Learn more', 'Get started ' and also the button that allows you to submit a suspicious URL for analysis. And the mobile app is even worse because it just zaps out the batter life of the device. I'm using the latest version of the mobile app and my phone is Pixel 4a (4g) It takes forever to connect with someone when you can their support number plus since I am outside of the USA, it's very costly too.
Hello, We are using Webroot alongside Huntress, and we want to use the features of Managed AV of Huntress as it can trigger an analyse of the Huntress ThreatOps Team. So, my question is simple, can we use Webroot and Microsoft Defender actively (as Windows Defender can stop a malware and trigger Huntress) on the same computer.Actually, i have just found some very old article that says it’s possible :SecureAnywhere You want to know if SecureAnywhere is compatible with other antivirus software (webroot.com)SecureAnywhere You want tips for running SecureAnywhere with another antivirus program (webroot.com)But it’s about 10-year-old articles, so i want to know if, in 2023, it still actual , or not?I have also seen this post : Webroot with Windows Defender in 2021 | Webroot Community but the solution say that Windows Defender should have Active Scanning Disabled so i suppose that will disable the benefit of Microsoft Defender with Huntress. Thanks in advance
We are very pleased to announce the launch of the DNS Leak Prevention Beta. This is an opportunity for us to share with you the feature we are about to release, as well as to solicit feedback, both from a technical and functionality perspective. Download the Beta Runner here.Documentation available here. What is DNS Leak Prevention? This is a new patent pending feature of the Webroot DNS Protection product. It is designed to provide control of DNS by blocking all alternate DNS resources aside from those configured in Webroot DNS Protection. This is done by locking down port 53 TCP and UDP (DNS), port 853 TCP (DNS over TLS), and port 443 TCP to known DoH providers. Why are we creating DNS Leak Prevention? As Webroot DNS Protection is a DNS filtering product, if we are not filtering every DNS request, it means that things are being missed. For example, if a web browser were to be configured to get DNS resolution directly from its own server, and disregard what was configured on the opera
My computer was beeping loudly and said that windows defender detected my IP number was hacked, I guess. They want me to call an 888 number, but I don’t think I should. I have you for protection, I thought you would know if I was having trouble. I am not savv with all this stuff and now I am afraid. Can someone help me?
Loaded on tablet and gave it permission to access all files and then to do a complete scan. Finished in 3 - 5 seconds and said no problems. Didn’t show any progress or any detail of how many files it scanned, no way did it scan all files I have on this tablet. Wasted that license!
Hi Webroot Team, Newbie here. Can we audit device per sites if Web Threat Shield extension for Browser is enabled or disabled? Also, if the Web Threat Shield extension is disabled from a device with Webroot client program, does it mean that if the User accessed a malicious site, Webroot would not block it? Thank you.
I was really excited to see this Application, we use Rapid7 and there was no good way to get this data into IDR. My excitement was quickly diminished immediately after I installed this software. Why create a software that is to redirect logs, and in this case to a SIEM and not make it run as a service? I tested it, right after I set it up, I monitored the service running and as soon as I logged off my admin account the service stopped and I can only assume the logging stopped as well. Is there anyway to run this as a service? I really don’t need to see the Scrolling CLI, that feature is pretty much pointless.
There’s a previous post from 5 months ago on this topic. I just recently bought Webroot for our small company, and I’m in the process of rolling it out to my Mac users, I have run into the same issue with Dropbox and the initial scan that the previous post talks about. We have nearly 900 GB in our Dropbox! I tried signing out of Dropbox on my Macbook that I use for testing, to see if the initial Webroot scan would thus quickly skip or ignore files that aren’t stored locally. But the scan just attempts to open a Dropbox file (online only), and it waits several seconds to see if it will download before moving on. From the previous post, I was hoping that enough time has gone by that an update to Webroot for Mac might have resolved this. It doesn’t appear so.
when i start computer, webroot says scan required, iam using webroot from many years, still it says no scan done…all protections such as realtime shield, web shield, firewall are turned off when this happens..…also browser plugins are also not working, i tried reinstall also keeping in mind clean installit does not work
Not really sure what to do next. We’ve been using Webroot for many years now. It’s been pretty much rock solid and without any major issues to date. The entire reason I switched our company to Webroot was the low resource utilization. However I’ve noticed of late my system getting really sluggish. Even something as simple as launching the calculator would take 10 seconds or more.Today it was abnormally bad. Calculator was 30-45 seconds per launch, word took a 2 minutes to come up, snipping tool took over a minute. File explorer was longer than all of them.Started looking at my task manager and noticed 100% disk usage. Thought maybe some app had messed up or something, but imagine my surprise when I sort processes and find webroot pegging my drive to the max.I shutdown webroot completely and the system performance returned to normal, better than it’s been in a year. The web extension appears to still be loaded but not sure if it’s doing anything now that the software isn’t running in th

Hello, I have been facing the subject issue continuously. To see if this issue can be resolved, I have tried the following but to no avail:1. Installing and reinstalling from the WSA homepage2. Downloading and installing from the My Account3. Downloading and installing from the online console management websiteThe product I use is Webroot Internet Security Complete.Does anyone know a permanent fix to this issue?
Hello, I have been using the Webroot for a quite a time and while gong through the notes and news of the product. I came through one of the Webroot's feature “Pseudo Execution” and can’t understand the concept clearly. Pseudo execution is the feature of the Webroot executed when the file/code entered in the system is unknown to the Webroot database Will be the unknown file executed partially in the system or any sandbox? How the journaling will be done and how the logs are stored? If the file/code turned out to be good one the product will whitelist and allows for full execution. If the file turned out to be a Malware/Ransomware or which leads to harm the system, then will it be quarantined or blocked? If blocked will that be notified to the user? Can the user change from Block to Allow? What happens to the file after it kept in quarantine, is it still able to access the files in the system or restricted? What happens to the files that are effected by the malicious file/code before s
Hi, This is to bring to the benign notice of the forum members that Webroot console is not accepting the security code generated by Lastpass Authenticator which I reinstalled. Whenever I try to reset 2FA , I cannot do it shows the error code 405.Though I input the correct answers for security questions it is not accepting and shows the error code 405. As I cannot login Webroot I cannot read customer support messages. As I am from India calling Webroot customer care costs me much.I phoned Webroot customer support number +1 866-612-4227 the call disconnected in the middle. One of the Webroot customer care executives cannot resolve my problem. I am posting this in the forum as a last resort. Anyone could you guide me please ?Thankking you,Dr.Siva
I found out that these apps may contain issues. But a friend of mine tried this. Is it like going on an exciting adventure to download Stick War Legacy from a website instead of the Play Store, or could it be risky and cause problems for your device's security? How can you make sure to install the game safely and avoid any potential issues on the internet? Any experiences? please share
It's sad that PC Magazine no longer rates Webroot as an Editor’s Choice due to poor ransomware protection.I still use Webroot and my siblings use it on my recommendation. But has its buyout by OpenText lead to a diminished performance?I am fully aware that Webroot uses a method that most AV certification companies can’t measure but it seems to be going downhill.
