Today we are releasing Desktop Web Proxy version 5.1.8 our fail-open client. This version of DWP has been developed specifically to handle a wide variety of Wi-Fi and Hotspot scenarios. It now provides administrators the ability to set configuration within the management console to allow DWP users to bypass Webroot’s proxies, or “fail open” to connect to the Internet, in the unlikely event they are not able to connect to a Webroot proxy server for any reason. [H3]MOBILE PROTECTION PRODUCT UPDATE BULLETIN 1.4 - October 7th 2014[/H3] [b][i]NEW Feature - Device Apps Tab[/i][/b] Mobile Protection now allows Admins to see which apps are installed on all mobile devices under management. In addition, the reputation of the installed applications is shown. Increased visibility into the devices under management allows Admins to see risky apps and alert users of issues on their device. Additionally, users can be asked to remove applications which don’t comply with company policy. At this time the details provided on the Device Apps tab is strictly informational. In a future release, Webroot will include enhanced Policy Management around allowed applications.
