Delete Mac OS Duplicate Files

Mac OS tends to create “Duplicate Files in Word Documents Application”  I normally used “Magican” app to delete those files. Since I began using Webroot Secure Anywhere, it disables, or cripples “Magican”.  It would add a punch in the Guts if Webroot could add “Delete Duplicate Files feature” in the next release of Webroot Secure Anywhere.

@Fred40 ,

Have you attempted whitelisting the magician app on the Webroot console?

You can do this by:

  1. opening Webroot
  2. clicking the cog icon next to “mac security”
  3. Block/allow files
  4. Add the Magician app/folder to this list

Let me know if that helps!

@khumphrey

Thanks for the information. Webroot quarantine the file:

/Applications/Magican.App/Contents/Frameworks/MCSecurity.Frameworks/Versions/A/MCSecurity

1/ I download Magican and run the scripts

2/ Restore the quarantine file above to its original folder

3/ Enable the permission

The system gave a warning, as long asI do not run both Magican and Webroot at the same time I am safe.

Again thank you.
