Hi, all. I am new to the forum and been using WebRoot for about 2 months now. (Was using another product, but WR is amazing-- much better than what I was using!)

Anyway, I have noticed the last 6 or 8 days that every time I start a session of Firefox (or open a new page if it is already open) I get a popup asking me for permission to start Firefox. Is that a Webroot security item, a configuration item, or something else? Not a big deal, but does require 6 to 10 clicks a day to work the web.

Thanks for any help!

Hello AZ_Star_Splitter,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

Please look here at the Mozilla help site.

Also you can check Webroot Identity Protection on the Webroot PC User Guide

You can also Submit a Support Ticket if you feel this is a Webroot related issue. This is a free service with your active Webroot subscription.

Thanks!  That worked. (Although Firefox did not state it in their instructions, I had to reboot the computer for the "Run as Administrator" uncheck to take effect, but FF opens now without a permission dialog.

A brilliant, simple as well as concise response, Sherry!

Thanks. I'll remember that in case I ever have a similar problem with Firefox.
