The wind is really picking up here but we are high up and not in the direct path at all, the sky has gone an odd yellowy/orange colour as well.

It is just really windy here but nothing we cannot cope with, unlike Ireland, 2 dead so far, they have been hit hard.
 
At lunch time today though here the sky was really threatening and it was a bit worrying but by 2pm it was clear we were just on the outside of it. However it has brought a lost of dust up from the Sahara and smoke from wild fires in Portugal giving us the red sun, here is what it was like earlier this afternoon.
 


 
It has been very unlike what I expereienced 30 years ago today  Great Storm 1987: The day 18 people were killed

Our Office in Dublin is closed due to the Nature of Hurricanes.

Here is some news about this unprecedented (for Ireland) storm's aftermath. I believe that the country made responsible preparations in the days before, which probably prevented a worse outcome.
