Understanding Programs and Campaigns

Programs and campaigns are part of the Webroot Security Awareness Training and each is unique.

Campaigns

A campaign is a single phishing simulation or training course sent to a select group of users which provides the basis for reporting and managing Security Awareness Training. Both types of campaigns are created and managed in the Security Awareness console.

Phishing campaigns consist of:

  • A campaign name and description
  • A target list of recipients
  • A customizable phishing email template
  • Defining what happens next for those that are fooled by the phishing campaign
  • The ability to test the email prior to launching the campaign

Training campaigns consist of:

  • A campaign name and description
  • A target list of recipients
  • A customizable welcome email template
  • A designated training course, selected from the catalog of over 30 choices
  • The ability to test the email prior to launching the campaign

Programs

A program is a collection of campaigns that make up focused effort relating to Security Awareness Training. Programs are defined and managed in the Security Awareness console and may include a welcome email, phishing campaign and/or a training campaign. Campaigns are created and configured, then made part of a program.

A program consists of:

  • A program name and description
  • A program schedule that includes defined tasks and start/end dates
  • Reports sent to designated email addresses

More information on configuring programs and campaigns is available from the Webroot Security Awareness Training Admin Guide.
