Mobile security experts with Intel Security (McAfee) have discovered a rash of Android apps available through the Google Play Store that were stealing Instagram credentials and uploading the data to a remote server.
Following Intel's discovery, Google has removed these apps from the Play Store and has banned the developers. The names of these apps, pictured below, are: Insta Takipci Kazan, Takipci Keyfi, Free Takipci, FollowInsta, and Instalker.
Names of malicious apps The apps promised free followers, better Instagram analytics, or a way to schedule posts and automate various account actions.
