By Mark Sutton Published August 28, 2014 The UAE Central Bank has blocked the use of a "significant number" of debit cards following an apparent ATM hack, Gulf News reported.
The Central Bank instructed several bank issuers of debit cards to block the cards after the a single Automated Teller Machine was compromised.
Emirates NBD confirmed that it had been instructed to block the usage of 69 debit cards, which had been used in the ATM of another bank. The customers had been told to replace their cards.
