So...is this a case of Panic panicing? Must be a bit embarrassing for them what with a company name such as they have...:D

Still, hope that they get this resolved soon and that it does not impact their customers too much.
I once downloaded handbrake since the malware attach in May and everything is going fine until now. I think it is safer to download handbrake in its own official website http://handbrake.fr/rotation.php?file=HandBrake-1.0.7-x86_64-Win_GUI.exe, or some third party famous downloading webstie  http://download.cnet.com/HandBrake/3000-2194_4-10808250.html.  It is safe to download HandBrake if you using the right way... http://www.videoconverterfactory.com/tips/is-handbrake-safe.html

Welcome to the Community Forums.

That is precisely what we tirelessly recommend here when this sort of thing comes up...but unfortunately there are many who do not heed this sound advice that you have effectively given; namelyonly download from tthe author's website or a recommended (by the author) website.

Kudos for providing excellent advice.

Regards, Baldrick
