Russian antivirus firm Kaspersky Lab accuses Microsoft of using its in-built Windows Defender to block rival security products.
Kaspersky says Microsoft isn’t giving third-party antivirus vendors enough time to make their products compatible with the latest versions of Windows 10 and when they are incompatible Microsoft inserts its own Windows Defender anti-malware program.
In a complaint filed with Russia’s competition regulator, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS), Kaspersky says Microsoft has cut the compatibility testing window from two months for Windows 8 and Windows 7 to just six days in Windows 10.

According to SecurityWeek, some firms have already expressed their support for Kaspersky, including Panda Labs, F-Secure, and Avira. All of them believe that Microsoft needs to play well with third-party security companies, and some admit that Redmond needs to change its antivirus policy in Windows 10 .

Can you find out if Webroot is in the boat with the other AV vendors on the same stance? Maybe a nice little quote from legal?

I believe as it currently stands, there is no official comment from Legal or the Organization as a whole...unfortunately. Who knows, stay tuned in the coming weeks and more than likely you'll know as soon as I do.
There's been a lot of emails thrown around about this, but it sounds like we're going to spend the time we have before February devising a campaign that focuses on targeted messaging for the user to help educate them further of other security risks completely glossed over by Defender/Microsoft.
Also take into consideration that having an entire userbase protected under one Security solution makes it.......well fairly simple for the bad guys to know what is going to get caught?

i think kaspersky is very under pressure .
microsoft defender when active 1- not install AV 2- AV do not compatible with windows 10 3- license AV was expired .
Users can choose .
We know before kaspersky told free AVs are cheats . . . but He forget ZoneAlarm have Free AV . ( Zone Alarm use kaspersky engine and they are partnership with kaspersky . )
Also Avira , Avast , Comodo , etc . . have Free AVs .
But why i think some companies same kaspersky are very under pressure ?!
This companies can not entry to Network & Enterprise Market .
They can not Competition with Big and most valid and trusty companies same Trend Micro & Symantec , ..
Also at SMB market they can not Competition with Webroot EPP , Trend Micro WFBS and symantec EPP and ...
now we analyze consumer AV market .
Home users are 2 groups :
1- Security not importante : this users use free AVs same Microsoft , avira , avast and ...
2- Security is importante : This users choose Products from most valid and trusty Security companies
only very very few users choose AV from some companies same kaspersky & pay for it .
Other Notes :
For kaspersky only and only importante issue news about this company and more users hear their name and view their logo . ( Graham Cluly writed about it )
For their not importante news is good or bad .
Iran Market :
They have very problem at this market . users now have more Knowledge and more carefully for choose Security solutions
Also becuase Scam they have problem wth users and Judicial authorities .
Their partners in iran & ME try Collusion with some organizations & Media's ( Specially Tehran & Iran ICT Guild Organization ) for keep position & Prevention issue news about most valid & Trusty Security companies .

- Webroot is amazing AV , very light , very speed and Good protection and not intrupted .
