 The Mozilla Foundation announced today it set up a $500,000 fund through which will pay security firms to carry out security audits of major open source projects.

Some GOOD news...at last, and all kudos to the Mozilla Foundation for their forward thinking on the subject....it is a start and lets hope that other players follow their lead on this as it has to be good for everyone long term. :D
