Video streaming service Netflix has decided to get rid antivirus software on the computers of its employees. The company didn’t renew the contract with the undisclosed antivirus company that protected the computers of Netflix staff.

Netflix may have decided to get rid of traditional antivirus protection but the article explains that it has replaced it with endpoint security from a company that appears to have adopted similar techniques to those employed by Webroot. 
 
The heading from Netlix might have been better put as: "Traditional Antivirus is dead"! 😛

Endpoint Security, like Webroot's, used correctly, is more secure than traditional AV's.  It can be configured to NOT allow the end user ability to over ride or disable protection.

Good point made David their heading in the right direction which would be similar techniques to those employed by Webroot.

Who knows?  It actually COULD be Webroot.. There is WSA Endpoint protection along the lines of what I described earlier.   🙂

They went with Sentinel One.
 
Interesting though....    Cause on this website, they just announced that they are just now switching everything over.
But according to sentinel one they've been working with them for a year and a half.

So SentinalOne's Next Generation Endpoint Protection is "a true replacement for end-point protection.”
