New York Times security software fails

According to this this CNN article, in the recent cyber attack against the New York TImes, the malware used by the company failed to detect 44 out of 45 items of malware installed onto the corporate network by the hackers.
 
What are your thoughts on this?  I find it just a bit frightening myself.

Getting kind of scary out there. By looking at the article, I hope New York Times was using updated security software and not 2010 software. lol.

Have ever heard IT manager in NYT about WSA? Probably not. Hey, Webroot folks, send him the WSA leaflet :D
