Some 55% of UAE-based ICT decision-makers have encountered a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack, according to a report launched today by F5 Networks.
The survey, released ahead of tomorrow's IDC CIO Summit in Dubai, was carried out by Redshift Research on behalf of F5, among 102 decision-makers from UAE companies that employed at least 500 people.
Of those polled, 73% believed that recovery from a DDoS attack took less than a week and most (78%) put recovery costs at tens of millions of dollars.
