Last year, Microsoft bought VirusTotal support for ‘Process Explorer’. Now Autoruns is the one to get the ontegration. VirusTotal is an online virus scanning service that helps to analyze suspicious files and URLs and make it easier to recognize worms, virus and other type of malware.

With the recent release of Autorun v13.0, here comes an important and major update of VirusTotal integration. The status of entries that are shown have gone through dozens of antivirus scanning of the VT.

Yup, pretty cool indeed.  In teresting that they have only just announced it as it has been available for some time...infact I got that version when I last ran the Sysinternals Updater a coupel of weeks ago.

Nice to know that VT has your back if you spot anything suspicious when using Autoruns.

Autoruns is a very handy little tool. and one of my favourites...and it's getting even better! :D

Thanks Jasper!

To be honest, Dermot, the vast majority of the Sysinternals suite of apps is pretty indispensible for the avid PC tinkerer (and I use it combined with the Nirsoft set of utilities...as together you just about have every requirement covered).

Hello,

I might as well jump into this conversation. I've used Syinternals and Nirsoft for the longest time. Nice to know others give it a good rating. Tinkering does get me in trouble sometimes...but I love these programs!:D

Have to agree with you Sherry.

I am a long time user of both as well.  NirCMD, for example,  is very flexable and I use it for things like restarting Explorer and to close and open processes such as sidebar (gadgets).  It is nice to have an icons to click for tasks that you use frequently.
