Webroot does not like this app! Is this a bad app? I read AVG does not like it as well!

Adwcleaner looks legitimate and may need to be whitelisted by our engineers. Did you download the app from Google Play?

Please Submit a Ticket so that we can whitelist the file and ensure that there are no malicious files on your device.
Down loaded from Softpedia .com

AdwCleaner is legit and one of the best programs for removing adware, browser hijackers and unwanted toolbars.

I recommend Bleeping Computer for the download:

Interesting.  I have just tried the downlaod from Bleeping Computer...and WSA was completely silent.  I also tried a specific right click of the .exe, and Scan with Webroot...and clean as a whistle.  Obviously checked & whitelisted by Support 😉

Can you confirm the location where you downloaded this file?  There appear to be many versions of this software which have been bundled with Potentially Unwanted Applications.  I downloaded and ran the file with no issues when downloading from this site:  http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/dl/593148fc77a7961dbf9c5096a425d84a/529fc7bc/windows/security/security-utilities/a/adwcleaner/AdwCleaner.exe

Are you receiving warnings when you download the application?  If so, what threat is being detected?

You may need to Submit a Ticket so that we can have a look to make sure you have no other infections on your machine.

I tried from softpedia and all was fine. http://www.softpedia.com/get/Antivirus/Removal-Tools/AdwCleaner.shtml

To the OP if you have issues with PUA's and Toolbars just contact support and they will be happy to help you remove them

I don't get this. That link leads to a BC redirect page that says their download links expire after 10 minutes, but the download link I posted hours ago in message 4 is still working.

Maybe they are referring to direct download links.

If you wait it will redirect to the Downloads page!

Sorry about that.  I tried to link to the actual download.

This link for the download page on BleepingComputer will work (same link as above):

Thanks, I know that, but AdwCleaner doesn't show up until page 3. The link I posted goes straight to the AdwCleaner page.
I downloaded from softpedia. They must have white listed it as it works with no Webroot warnings now! Thanks!!
