MY webroot secure anywhere is telling me that most sites that I go to are infected

I believe that the computer has a virus.  I do not believe all of these sites are infected.  I have tried free scans but nothing comes up.

Hello @,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

What you are describing sounds more like adware/annoyware which many AV's do not pick up as it is not truly malware.  We call these PUA's by the way.  The first place to look will be in your broswer add-ons/extensions.  Look for toolbars (not Webroot's) that you did not install or do not know what it is.  There is a pretty good chance you may find something there.

Please look here at the KB article with tips how to remove these PUAs

You can also submit a Support Ticket free of charge with an active subscription and they can take a look at this if you cannot resolve this issue,

Kind Regards,

Hello Geno

When I first had Webroot secure, I had the same issue. Have you looked at your settings for Webroot? Your settings my be set on high to where only trusted sites are not blocked. Let me know what it is on and I will tell you how to fix the issue.

Thanks for becoming a Webroot user!
