Although no antivirus can guarantee 100% protection against everything, Webroot does indeed protect again malware, which includes trojan horses.
A trojan horse is a type of malware that initially tricks the user into thinking it is a legitimate, wanted program. Once run though, it will execute it malicious package. Webroot is great at "seeing" what the trojan really is and will stop it before it can do damage.
Hope this helps!
