WSA AV. 9.0.12.52

I notice that WSA has been creating some odd files.
There are 3/4 of these.
Here is an example.
WRSA-S-9.0.9.78-WSAINSTALL.EXE.dmp = 957MB
Can they be deleted.

Hi davidco,

You can do a uninstall / reinstall that woud decrease the size of the Data Base File. But if you want to delete any files in the Data Base I would suggest to submit a Support Ticket or Contact Webroot Support .

My dat folder is over 2GB again. I thought this issue had been sorted by a previous update. In fact I'm sure it had.
I cannot remember seeing .dmp files before though.

I can obviously do an uninstall/clean up & re-install but the .dmp 'collection' made me think again.

Just an update that may be of some use.
I raised a ticket and was asked to do a one to one (tel)

Message from Webroot 'Tech Support'

"After i finished the call I contacted our CAG team and their advice is to delete these dump files. These dump files are not related to computer crashes but are used by our development team in case there is an issue with the software."

So, if you notice the dat folder growing very large due to what looks like crash logs............

Cheers
