I have had Webroot for a couple of years now and never had a problem. However, for about a month now I have not been able to open Webroot to make routinely scans. In the action center it says it is turned off. I've tried turning it on, but it doesn't. I've also tried deleting it, in order to reinstall it but it doesn't let me. It says it needs only the administrator of the PC can, however, I am logged in as an administrator. I ran an troubleshoot compatibility and it says WRSA is incompatible. I don't know what to do anymore!

Hello ?,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

Have you tried uninstalling from the Control Panel? Or going to Programs/Webroot/Tools/Uninstall? Webroot is compatible with Windows and Mac PCs

.Edited: Yes Webroot will open up in Safe Mode.

Please have a look at this KB Article https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Antivirus/PC-Uninstallation-Option-Missing-from-Control-Panel/ta-p/34688

Try that and then you can reinstall Webroot as follows:

Please follow the steps closely! This is only for a PC ..not a Mac

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • KEEP the computer online fo the install to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot
Please let us know if that resolves your issue?
