WebrootSecureAnywhere has detected a threat [ Edited ]

WebrootSecureAnywhere has the detected the threat PUA.OSX.Adware.BucaApps but cannot remove it.  It keeps popping up that I have the threat with is very aggravating.  How can I fix this?

Welcome to the Community Forums.

If WSA has detected the threat, tried to remove it and has not managed to completely then your best course of action is to is to Open a Support Ticket so that Webroot Support to take a look and remove these for you.  There is NO CHARGE for this for valid WSA license holder.

Unfortunately, PUAs or Potentially Unwanted Applications, are a terrible nuisance but luckily rarily dangerous, and whilst WSA does detect and remove many PUA's, and more are being added, but WSA does not/cannot remove all that it detects due to the nature of the way they insinuate themselves into ones system.  A simple browser add-on with PUA behaviour that is easy to identify and easy to remove is not likely to be detected and removed by WSA.
