Why can't I download adobe reader pdf or print from emails?

Hello and Welcome to the Community Forum,
 
Please make sure you are downloading from the Adobe Reader site here http://get.adobe.com/reader/
 
( Do not check any add ons with the downlload)
 
I would download the installer, and then right click on it and select 'Run as Administrator' which should run the installer with elevated privileges, and so avoid the message that you are seeing.
 
Edit: As for emails do you have the lastest driver for your printer?
