Using both Windows 7 & 8 on a website I keep getting the message that "EDITED" is a threat to my computer and the webpage has been closed. This happens when I try to email or open a link. As I understand it, this "EDITED" is used to open and share links, in this case crochet patterns, and wonder is this particular item a true threat to my computer? Thx for the help.

Edited by DavidP1970: The 'file" name in quotes is a redirect to a 3rd party link.

Hello ckote and welcome to the Webroot Community!

Please forgive me, but I had to edit your post: the website you mentioned goes to a 3rd party site.  That kind of a link appears to be in violation of the Community Guidelines regarding Spam posts.

If you are really getting that error, you will need to submit a Trouble Ticket and have Webroot Support look into this issue for you.  Webroot Support is the correct way to report possible False Positives, so please to file that ticket 🙂

The links are safe that you sent me when you get on the new Web Shield in time it will not be blocked so for now you can allow the websites! Also for now to check if they are bad websites check with BrightCloud first as the New Web Sheild is built off of it. http://www.brightcloud.com/support/lookup.php

Thanks,

Daniel ;)
