How can I be sure a trojan horse didn't attach itself to my computer?

Welcome to the Community Forums.
 
I think that you are referring to a Trojan rather than a trojan horse...to very different things. ;)
 
As WSA is an anti malware application (and malware includes Trojans) all you need to do is to have WSA installed and active...and you should be well protected. And if specifically concerned at any time you can always run a manual scan to check that all is well...if a Trojan is trying to get in then WSA should find it an neutralise it.
