I am currently running anti-keylogger and anti-ransomware software. With WSA-Complete is this still necessary?

Hello JohnP

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

IMO you only need Webroot. Please look here at this thread

?

Also Webroot protects against Ransomeware. But there are new variants coming out all the time which Webroot tries to stay ontop of.

Finally, please see this KB Article on what happens if WSA 'misses' a virus or malware.

?can you add anything here?

Hope this helps?

Hi JohnP

Welcome to the Community Forums.

The only thing that I would add to what Sherry has posted is that

(i) WSA is designed to work well with other security applications and in 99% of cases it does so running something else in conjunction with it should cause no issues &

(ii) many experts recommend a layered approach to security, i.e., not rely on just one security app for protection.

Now whilst WSA is one of the best out there not even WSA will be 100% effective 100% of the time (otherwise the other security app manufacturers would pack up & go home...;)) so if you are feeling particularly concerned that may put you mind at rest.

Having said that IMHO you should be fine just running WSA.

Regards, Baldrick
