Guidelines for adding programs to Application Protection?

I'm new to Webroot, am wondering what can/should/should not be added Application Protection?
I saw Webroot added Chrome and IE. I added Opera but can I/should I add Carbonite, Outlook 2016 and my web publishing software, Expression Web?
I'm more concerned about adding in a program that should not be listed to avoid any problems.

Hi Ocotillo, welcome to the Community, Protect any program that utilizes Personal Data that you dont want to be accessed without your knowledge!
