Webroot download site not secure

I just purchased Webroot SecureAnywhere® Internet Security Complete 5 Device , and when I click on the "Download for PC" button in my conf email it takes me to a page deemed NOT secure. Even though I uninstalled my McAffee software, it's being flagged by something leftover on my laptop from McAffee (would like to solve for that too but I digress for now). Message states that "http://anywhere.webro?otcloudav.com/zerol/?wsainstall.exe" is suspicious and dangerous... Why would webroot take me to a non-secure page to download security software? Very confused by this and would appreciate any help. Thank you.

Hello KJE38,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

I am not sure why you are having this issue with Webroot's downloasd site.

Please go here to completely uninstall McAfee
McAfee  Download and Instructions

  •  This covers a variety of products

Please follow the steps below closely in terms of installing WSA on the target system/machine!

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • Be sure you have or add your Keycode to your Online Console: Webroot SecureAnywhere Online Console
  • KEEP the computer online during the install to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Geek Squad Subscription PC users click HERE). Let us know if it is the Mac version you need
  • Install with the new installer, entering your Keycode when prompted to do so in the install process
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot
Also you can Submit a Support Ticket and the Support Team can assist yiou. This is a free service with a Webroot subscription.

Hope this helps?
