The Linux and Gecko based OS environment that uses web apps (websites in the form of an app) has its first malware after just two months since its release on mobile devices.
 
"Shantanu Gawde, 17-years-old, an Independent Security Researcher is going to demonstrate the very first known malware for Firefox OS at the upcoming Information Security Summit."
 
He will demonstrate his malware app that uses HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to perform malicious tasks remotely on the device (access SD card data, steal contacts, download/upload files on device, track geological location of user).
