This should really come naturally to those looking at the datacenter level especially with the economic crisis and all. If you can save a few bucks on your OPEX per machine then for a large datacenter this will quickly add up. If technology will allow, this could even spur a new round of investments in that area.
This is already starting in the processor areas where they are developing new processors that have better performance, but with less power usage than past models.
