external audio port win 10

Windows 10 (laptop) external audio port 3.5 mm not working

any suggestions. The internal speaker system works but the 3.5 mm port not working.

Also the usb works with headset.

Hey @kayone73 ,

I work with audio equipment a lot so I can give you a few ideas:

Make sure it’s not the audio cord by attempting to use it with multiple devices. Try at least 2-3 diff 3.5mm cords
After putting a cord in, wiggle the 3.5mm cord very slightly to see if the jack is wiggling/loose
go to Device manager and see if there’s any exclamation points under audio devices
Update your audio drivers: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4028443/windows-10-update-drivers
